TTWS Winter C Grade Round 8 03/09/24 Lacked the feeling and fundamentals on that day so lots of easy mistakes, but glad I was able to keep it competitive regardless.

TTWS Winter C Grade Round 7 28/08/24 Very close game - should've returned more of his serves considering it's usually always the same spin. Was good in returning in the last set with some advice given of keeping the returning stroke short; I have an advantage in the rally if I can just get it on the table.

TTWS Winter C Grade Round 5 15/08/24 Made a lot of basic mistakes against the long pimples, misjudged the spin of a lot of his serves and probably lost more than I won when attacking the 3rd ball when receiving.

TTWS Winter C Grade Round 1 18/07/24 Had some chances but ultimately couldn't adjust well to his game. Made the same errors and form wasn't very good, perhaps a bit of nerves. Couldn't get a read on which way his loop was aiming but nevertheless I made the mistake of not being ready to backhand multiple times.

Table Tennis Western Sydney Summer 2024 D Grade Grand Finals 11/06/24 Just uploading this for future reference. Still lots to learn for doubles. Our strategy was I would receive down the line so they would push to Ryan and he would kill it, which worked well. However there were times I pushed to the wrong direction during the point which made it harder for Ryan and times I wasn't moving out of ...

Table Tennis Western Sydney Summer D Grade Round 13 16/05/24 First comp match after being sick for 2 weeks. Count how many loops I missed. Feeling just wasn't there after that break. Got away with the second set as Deren said he felt so pressured by my serve he felt he needed to match it which led to all those errors.

    You should have spoken to the empire. This Rose serve is not the tossing of the ball to legal height. Also when tossing of the ball. The hand is not flat. The way she serve give her a slight advantage of making a quick serve. Her serve needs to be rectify. Even for future matches.

    Great to watch these highlights mate. You have all the ingredients to become an amazing player - Passion, Perseverance, Technique, Footwork, Consistency, Hard work, Humility, and a Learning mindset. I've told some of my friends about you. Big fan of your game man especially your footwork and balance. Just keep working hard. I'm sure you will move up to higher grades pretty quickly :)

    I think you should vary your serve by serving more short no spin and sidespin to his forehand and backhand short. That would set up for an easy third ball attack . Majority of your serves are long to his backhand so he’s already prepared to receive in that position so it would disrupt his rhythm

    2 things i think you can implement quickly to indtantly become a lot better 1) Get a short serve (anything that bounces twice, or even one [half-long] where its not clear whether it will bounce once or twice) - your sidespin-right that you do could easily be manipulated to be short! 2) practice blocking more, some fairly routine blocks you had issues judging the topspin on the ball, and this is something you can fix easily. I would suggest when warming up, spend half the rallies blocking and half hitting. Your counter loops are great but not every ball is attackable of course. Great fight and good match! Keep enjoying the game

    Regarding to the first point and at 0:21, when he serves underspin half long or long into your backhand like that, you want to make sure to drop your bat to knee height to loop the ball, if you search up "Xu Xin Backhand Loop" on UA-cam, you will know what I'm talking about, you are doing everything fine with that backhand loop other than dropping that bat, you are wide enough and low enough. Next time you practice, just ask someone to serve underspin long into your backhand and just practice that feeling of dropping the bat, it will feel very weird at first. Your serves were causing some trouble to him, but I think learning how to do a heavy underspin serve that is short( two bounces on the opponents side) would be very effective, most of your serves here was mainly half long or long especially into his backhand, try to vary up the position a bit more. Like for example, at 1:38, you served into his forehand with underspin which was super effective causing you to win the point, but as you can see he stepped in to use his backhand into his forehand side due to him not expecting it. Sorry for writing so much, but I hope this helps you. Good luck with your journey to 1200 RC. I will subscribe too, cause I love to support small creators like yourself. :)

    hi. I play in the northside with penhold. I do want to add that you can use forehand drive which will be a lot faster and lower with lots more success. Take the ball earlier. We should organise training together.

    • @jonoxieTT
      @jonoxieTT 6 місяців тому

      Hey Dave, in response to which of his shots do you mean to use fh drive? Would love to play together sometime.

    • @davewan2257
      @davewan2257 6 місяців тому

      another note: the few of your FH loops you missed is because you were not in the right position to execute the shot. Two or three occasions . You need to fix these before achiving the higher level .will go through and mention the FH drives later.

    • @davewan2257
      @davewan2257 6 місяців тому

      sunil block return to you at 1.57. was quite short . that was a perfect FH drive. I think you would miss a lot of opportunity if you automatically stand so far away from table.
