Hiya mate. just wondering if you’ll be at Bulwell tonight. We could trainspot together.
Usually I'm only down there on a lunch time when working from home and its a last minute thing when I actually get a long enough lunch break.
@@yorkshirewanderer6176fair enough
This train got half refurbished today
Purr, mew. I'm a cat lover, Cats and I love each other. Who could argue with Mr. DMU, Who gives us a great Driver's Eye View?
The train in the rain on the plain.
Did the other train got cancelled due to the fire alarm at the station 🚉
Get a life
East Midlands seem to be the only railway company using traditional British railway liveries all the other companies colours are boringly untraditional
@JohnGeary-e9e LNER is based on Inter City and GWR is GWR green.
Typical Nottingham always raining 😂
Certainly seems that way.
The 105 Cravens looked superb !
I wonder how many , if any, of the loco`s visited Bury in BR days when it was still part of the national network ?
Fantastic Video mate
Many thanks!
Ugly British trains
Wait a minute I think ITS STRATFORD
Mr. HST you mean, who should have kept his original BR Blue & Grey livery.
I get the idea behind the pullman livery, but would prefer it in the original or swallow which is my personal favourite.
St pancras noisy
Very nice!
The way it goes.
Hope they sorted it out
Has it derailed?
No points failure that put the rest of the days timetable out.

Why didn't you ride behind all the steam engines all day, instead of looking like a drowned rat? Piglet ought to have kept quiet and let you enjoy the journey. It's a lot better when the engines do the talking. Lucie can't go very far, I understand that, I think the brake van rides ought to have been aborted till sunny weather came along, but credit where credit is due. If you can show a brake van ride, why wasn't the ride behind Pitchford Hall also included? Better to have seen that in this video, than to keep it separate.
The brake van had a covered veranda, so could stand outside under cover to film the trip, but no chance to lean out of a window behind Pitchford Hall as the rain would have been driving against you.
Probably the wettest gala I've ever attended!
tram 🚈
Looks space age compared with the super tram in Sheffield
@@DonnyLocomotives The original sets look similar to the super tram. This one is part of the batch from when they extended the line.
Ramsbottom station has a market with a stall where you can get Black Peas a Lancashire delicacy
That's a nice video there
Excellent 👌
Thanks, I spotted that there was something unusual running through on realtimetrains and thought I'd have a walk down even with the rain. Normally we only get the Robin Hood Line services. It was showing as a 75mph, so had hoped for may be a class 37, but it was still a change from the usual 170's.
@@yorkshirewanderer6176 excellent. I'll have to check out real time trains to help me out with my videos
How did you sponsor this vid? Might do it myself
I used UA-cam promotion to see what it would do as never used it before.
Ah cheers @@yorkshirewanderer6176
Bacteria (/bækˈtɪəriə/ ⓘ; sg.: bacterium) are ubiquitous, mostly free-living organisms often consisting of one biological cell. They constitute a large domain of prokaryotic microorganisms. Typically a few micrometres in length, bacteria were among the first life forms to appear on Earth, and are present in most of its habitats. Bacteria inhabit soil, water, acidic hot springs, radioactive waste, and the deep biosphere of Earth's crust. Bacteria play a vital role in many stages of the nutrient cycle by recycling nutrients and the fixation of nitrogen from the atmosphere. The nutrient cycle includes the decomposition of dead bodies; bacteria are responsible for the putrefaction stage in this process. In the biological communities surrounding hydrothermal vents and cold seeps, extremophile bacteria provide the nutrients needed to sustain life by converting dissolved compounds, such as hydrogen sulphide and methane, to energy. Bacteria also live in mutualistic, commensal and parasitic relationships with plants and animals. Most bacteria have not been characterised and there are many species that cannot be grown in the laboratory. The study of bacteria is known as bacteriology, a branch of microbiology. Bacteria Temporal range: Archean[1] - Present 3500-0 Ma Pha.ProterozoicArcheanHad. Most of the bacteria in and on the body are harmless or rendered so by the protective effects of the immune system, and many are beneficial,[3] particularly the ones in the gut. However, several species of bacteria are pathogenic and cause infectious diseases, including cholera, syphilis, anthrax, leprosy, tuberculosis, tetanus and bubonic plague. The most common fatal bacterial diseases are respiratory infections. Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections and are also used in farming, making antibiotic resistance a growing problem. Bacteria are important in sewage treatment and the breakdown of oil spills, the production of cheese and yogurt through fermentation, the recovery of gold, palladium, copper and other metals in the mining sector (biomining, bioleaching), as well as in biotechnology, and the manufacture of antibiotics and other chemicals. Once regarded as plants constituting the class Schizomycetes ("fission fungi"), bacteria are now classified as prokaryotes. Unlike cells of animals and other eukaryotes, bacterial cells do not contain a nucleus and rarely harbour membrane-bound organelles. Although the term bacteria traditionally included all prokaryotes, the scientific classification changed after the discovery in the 1990s that prokaryotes consist of two very different groups of organisms that evolved from an ancient common ancestor. These evolutionary domains are called Bacteria and Archaea.[4] Etymology Origin and early evolution Habitat Morphology Cellular structure Metabolism Growth and reproduction Genetics Behaviour Classification and identification Phyla Interactions with other organisms Significance in technology and industry History of bacteriology See also References Bibliography External links Last edited 2 days ago by Interested inTaxonomy RELATED ARTICLES Biofilm Aggregation of bacteria or cells on a surface Archaea Domain of single-celled organisms Roberto Kolter Microbiologist and teacher, born 1953 Wikipedia Content is available under CC BY-SA 4.0 unless
It's a shame you haven't been able to complete the left-over 40% of things to do, but at least you've visited all the stations. I say it's time to do something different at your own pace, for your own enjoyment. Take your time and do what you want when you want, the world is your oyster.
I continue to enjoy travelling around the underground and hopefully plan to complete the rest next year. I found that I managed to do more over the winter months as I got to London more often than I have recently due to work, but will see how it goes. For now I have more hertiage line gala's planned to see the year out starting with the NYMR this coming week.
Congrats on visiting all the tube stations in a year! I've recently done the same (started in Jan '24 on the Met and finished last month at Richmond and Kew Gardens (where I indulged in a celebratory pint at the "Tap On The Line" pub). Geoff's videos really are an inspiration to get out there and do transport related things in London that I put off for years (decades even)......
I think my pace slowed due to not getting down to London quite as often since the spring. I think one of the main things for me is how much of the actual underground system is above ground and out of central London. My aim is to continue working my way through the books over the next year and maybe have a go at all the stations in one day with some careful planning.
After 11 months and numerous trips to London I finally completed visitng all 272 stations. THe final station one that has been closed for most of this time and still isn't open now due to on going rebuild of the station.
Thank you for a well-filmed insight into what looked to be a great day out
Glad you enjoyed it

It's a shame there's so many people who think it's acceptable to just walk in front of peoples cameras while still filming. I've lost so many shots because of em. They'd be the first to complain if you got into their poxy photo.
The ELR seems to be one of the worst as well. Having been at the GCR the week before and didn't have the same issue. I don't get why everyone wants to stand right at the edge as you get no angle so if everyone steps back you all get a view
@@yorkshirewanderer6176 Same here Why everyone seems to want a head on view of everything is beyond me. I much prefer if I can stand back and get a wide view.
Very first clip, Me and my lad on the bridge!, I've a vid of D345 passing underneath.
I've been looking at a few videos from the day, but not spotted myself in any yet. Hope you enjoyed the day.

East Lancashire Railway Autumn Diesel Gala with the return to service of class 56 56006.
A few Terrier Tank Engines reside there, don't know where they might be hiding.
@kellyashfordtrains2642 They were out of service in the museum and shed. I'm hoping that one of them or maybe an Ivatt are back in service next year as booked a week on the island.
It was on the 3pm departure on the Friday. I'd spent the rest of the day on the GCR and called in on the eay home. Can't wait for them to run back along the main line.
When was this? You might have been on my train. I was so happy when they started to run again because I used to go with my dad all the time to Ruddington when I was 10. I'm 16 now and I still love it.
Sounds like you might need a new camera as back-up. Should have ended this video at the starting point of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Lead up to the next video would make it more exciting. Glad you didn't have any railstrike troubles this time.
IOWSR video will be out later this week. Usually when doing a long trip I carry my DSLR, but not on this one as travelling light. Everything was filmed on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, so almost new mobile, so shouldn't have had issues.
WAIT!! I just watched this video …..does that mean I’ve become a train spotter 😱😱😱😱😱
