What a nice tank you have. It is in beautiful condition. When it was empty and clean, it looked like a swimming pool! I'll suggest a series of progressive finer filters for your drip irrigation. Start with 80 mesh followed by 100 mesh followed by 150 mesh. Filters are not terribly expensive and the stainless steel surgical mesh filters last a very long time. Stacking your filtration will greatly increase the cycle between cleanings. The figs look WONDERFUL! I really enjoy fig butter during the winter months. SO glad you got to go for a swim in the tank! Perhaps you could cover the tank with sunscreen fabric to keep the leaves and branches out of the water? The farm continues to get better! Enjoy 👍

A busy productive day at the farm. The grass will be much easier to maintain now that all of those obstacles are removed. If you scrub the gate pillars with household bleach to kill the mold, they will look so much better. Very nice job :)

Very nice tune you selected. One of the quintessential songs of the generation that came of age in the early 70's with a little country twang. The artist was a good choice for this cover. You stewardship at the farm is having quite the impact. So many beautiful flowers shrubs and trees. It would be quite a joy to take your leave of the city at the end of the work week and retreat to this idyllic setting. BRAVO! Enjoy :)

Looks like a very nice addition to the farm infrastructure. A couple thoughts to consider; It is good to have a filter attached to the hose bib and then attach your supply line to the filter. For that type of emitter, you will want at least a 120 mesh stainless steel filter. The purpose is to capture any small particles that may clog the emitters over time. I could not determine if you had emitters with different outputs based on the size of the tree. But if they are all the same, one emitter on a whip tree is fine. On a very large tree you would want 4 to 6 emitters in a circle around the trunk positioned about 2/3's of the way from the trunk to the canopy dripline. This isn't an exact science - use your judgement. If some of the twists in the supply line (16mm?) continue popping up, buy a box of galvanized wire earth staples. They are very helpful holding the hose where you want it. And they won't pop up out of the ground and cause problems with mowers or strimmers. I think they are very useful on an installation like yours. You may want to buy a two outlet digital timer for ~$70 US. You can set two separate programs, one for the upper orchard and one for around the house. A good way to water is 30 minutes once every 4 days at 7am. Set program 1 to start on a Monday with the cycle described and Program 2 to begin on a Tuesday with the cycle described for instance After several cycles, do some moisture testing in the soil and make any adjustments you feel are necessary. The timers are very easy to program and screw directly onto the hose bib. For the most effective drip irrigation you want to religiously stick with a schedule. If the soil drys out, everything changes. If it is too wet, your tree roots will be unhappy. I hope there is something useful here for you Hugo! All the best :)

What a wonderful family artifact. I have never seen a real two man ripping saw. We all understand that life was much more difficult before todays conveniences, but ripping logs into planks was a whole different level of brutal. I'm certain the top man had a 'broken back' by the end of the day and the bottom man was covered in sawdust - especially his eyes, nose and ears. You did a very nice job with the restoration. The electrolysis worked particularly well. In the future, you might want to consider an oil finish rather than varnish. Just a personal preference of mine. Oil has no gloss - but it does nourish the wood. I think it lets the natural body oil and sweat of the men who worked that saw shine in the coloration of the wood. I suspect the saw will have a spot of honor on display in your legacy farmhouse. I hope future generations have a visceral understanding of what it meant to actually saw the boards that built the house. Congratulations!

The becomes more diverse with every video. Red raspberry currants are great additions. I'm sorry about you lemon tree. It is a remarkable year for the lemon crop. I'm happy you were able to prop the dropping lib before it snapped. A tip about birds; there are certain species in the eastern US that like oranges. We put a pole in the ground with a spike on top. When there are citrus 'drops', you can cut it in half and spear it onto the stake so the birds can eat the interior. You can add perches to the plate too. Be creative :) See what kinds of birds the citrus attract. An easy way to add diversity <3 Tie to get out your electric lawn mower. Be sure you sharpen the blade and scrape the underside of the cutting deck and set the height of the cut as high as it will go. Let us know if it cuts better and faster. 👍.
