The Late Night Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Nerd! who explores horror and goes on Unhinged Binges!
I review 80's movies, lesser known films that deserve attention, quick recaps of TV shows, AND HORROR MOVIES! I have a LOT of theories! Occasionally I do deep analytical dives into topics like the landscape of cinema through the years.
I specialize in horror, sharksploitation, and Nic Cage... for better or worse.
Now if you'll excuse me I have some oozing to do! Stay with the Rainbows.

Halloween Franchise - an unhinged breakdown
I never liked that Angelique died in 1841 when Barnabas travelled thru time via that silly staircase. So, if Angelique dies in 1841 in a reprocess, then the entire history at Collinwood would change and create chaos.
Does Doc already know what is going happen? In the beginning of BTTF 1. As the camera passes by the clocks. There is a miniature Doc hanging from one of the clock hands.
That image is inspired from the 1923 film 'Safety Last!' starring Harold Lloyd (no relation to Christopher Lloyd). It's just a fun bit of foreshadowing - and a wink to a scene they are going to pay homage to.
I was surprised by how racially diverse the show's main cast was for an 80s show, even if some of the characters like Dr. Wendy Armstrong and Dr. Vijay Kochar didn’t get quite as much focus as some of the other characters you mentioned.
NOTE THIS IS 7 YEARS OLD... thanks for the watch but like chill in the comments, I'm not reading a tome worth of criticism on a report I don't remember writing. Watch a newer video if you want to complain, dang. lol... 😅
It’s fine. I like seeing videos about movies with different perspectives/fan theories. Thanks for the upload sweetie!
this is a fun watch too many video essasys have so little background info and deeper details
Thanks!
I always wondered how Biff knew how to operate the time machine in the first place? Yes he found out by listening to Doc and Marty that that Doc had a time machine but he had no way of knowing how to operate it like using the Mister Fusion generator to operate the flux capacitor and how he would know to get the time machine up to 88 miles per hour in order to travel through time no one that I know of has ever asked THOSE questions when discussing the events in Back to the Future 2
You do know there’s a deleted scene where old Biff disappears after accomplishing his task.
This film is where the series took a nose-dive and never recovered
📀
I was thinking based on the subject matter of the video they didn't travel in time from 2015 to 1955, because I thought this was specifically about Doc Brown and Marty at first haha.
its weird cause this is actually one of my favs of the franchise along with Jason takes Manhattan for some reason, just love these two
I have the almanac. I want the cast to autograph it.
Thank you for recognizing tammy and the t rex for it's cinematic genius
Of course. Facts are facts.
I saw Ghoulies in a theater three days ago!
OH fun!!! but did you see Ghoulies III: Ghoulies go to college?
@@legaultrants Not yet. Tubi will fix that soon! They're showing "The Killing of Satan" from 1983 on Monday. The description notes that it's "badly dubbed in English." Sounds promising!
Loved this!! Hilarious!
3:19 i come from the year 2024, no moon knight movie but a moon knight series.
I hope you dye your hair
...........?
@@legaultrants you know what you did, wohre
All those scenes of the extremely young children being blamed for the spirits of the house painting Satanic stuff all over the wall is like an Evil Disney movie. That would be hilarious if it weren't for the Father then beating and threatening to beat them over it. That makes me not laugh anymore.
do we have a LIVES SAVED counter?? lol great work
Oh yeah I can do a survivor counter if you want that easily. I'll include it and give a retroactive count in the next ep!
@@legaultrants omg I was making joke please don’t do too much extra work lol 😂
Oh the movie is called 'Final Summer' (2022) it has Thom Matthews AND Tom Atkins, so there is that.
@38:25 I make V and 21 Jump Street references. teehee
Hell yes! Also, "first" as the kids say
Razumovsky is a reminisce of Pavel Durov- the creater of Russian social network Vkontakte and telegram messanger.
Grom's father was also a police officer and served with police-captain. They were freinds and partners. Prequel Grom- hard youth is about it. That's why Grom is like son to the captain.
Another episode with many references going over my head. I did get the Sleepaway Camp one though! Proud of that
Update: Tubi got 'Scream' (1981) will review later.
I have a friday the 13th collection that comes with the 3D version of this movie lol gotta supply your own glasses tho, i have yet to actually watch it in the format tho, gotta try it.
Brain Damage is such an underrated gem!
Right!?!
Doc is a nuclear physicist who invents a time machine. He wants to do experiments with his impressive creation. He has some measure of respect for the spacetime continuum and knows about the risks of temporal paradoxes thanks to his big brain, not to mention the events of the original BTTF movie. If it wasn't for the ire of his enraged Libyan Nationalist clients messing things up in the first place (during the Twin Pines continuum), Doc would've been the first to use his time machine, by travelling to the future, a relatively safe spacetime to conduct temporal experiments. What could possibly go wrong!? Doc wants to observe first-hand a variety of temporal effects, especially the time warp phenomena he has named The Ripple Effect. He is also somewhat unscrupulous and disreputable, all too willing to treat his peers as guinea pigs. During his original trip to 2015, Doc is also struck by how similar Marty McFly and Marty Jr. appear. He has become aware of the catastrophe that is Marty's family. He decides this is the perfect lens to observe the Ripple Effect through. So Doc convinces his unwitting friend Marty to take part in this experiment, by using him as a double for Marty Jr. Remember, it is extremely dangerous to interfere with your past self, which is why he decides to mess with the future-past of another individual. And so now the scene is all set. With the assistance of Marty McFly, Doc creates the continuum where Griff Was Framed. Doc even gets to experience the Ripple Effect of this time warp while holding his future copy of USA Today. Doc's experiment is a complete success, and he even manages to document it on a temporally displaced camera. But Jennifer's presence creates unanticipated problems, which unfortunately results in an opportunity for Biff to steal the Delorean. Regarding BIff, he is able to return the Delorean to Doc's party as such: The Delorean has its own peculiar past, as do its temporally displaced passengers. The Delorean and Marty are the only direct remnants of the Twin Pines continuum. Meanwhile, Doc's party are the only remnants of the Martin McFly Junior Arrested For Theft continuum. Essentially, the causality of Doc's party is a little screwed up from the norm. On top of that, Jennifer - the least temporally disturbed member of Doc's party - is unconscious throughout the entirety of the 2015 trip, so we are not really able to gauge the way the Ripple Effect affects her. So when Biff steals the time machine and disappears into the past, another Ripple Effect immediately takes place. Unfortunately, Hilldale is scummy in every continuum, and Doc's party are too busy getting the Younger Jennifer to safety, so no one even notices Biff's Ripple Effect taking place - not even the audience of BTTF II. I like to believe that Doc and Marty are temporally displaced enough to be insulated from Biff's insults to causality. Basically, Doc's Party arrives in the "Original" 2015 by time machine. They experience a Ripple Effect - a time warp into the Griff Was Framed continuum; and then another when Biff disappears into the past. Biff's Pleasure Paradise is a settled continuum upon his return to 2015, the logical end point of Doc's "1985B timeline" from the blackboard lecture. Ultimately, Biff returns the Delorean to Doc's temporally displaced party, who leave 2015 from Biff's Pleasure Paradise continuum after they experience a succession of Ripple Effects during their time in 2015. My problem paradox is this: Marty and Jennifer are dragged into the future by Doc. How are they able to observe their future selves when they have been missing from the spacetime continuum for thirty years?!
I call him tater tots too lol
I kept wanting to call Ted White, Ted Knight, like those calls were too close for comfort. ... I really wanted one more reference that no one would get.
or Le Gault makes a lot of jokes and references that Curt does not get so why does Le Gault double down!?!?
The zombie cop dream sequence still haunts my dreams
Really? It was always Willy the mall zombie that got me. What a hammy performance.

Thanks!
Found your channel randomly and I'm really enjoying your videos!! I wanted to wait until I finished this video before I commented (already watched pt 1&2) I think you would really pop off if you started editing your videos, like, putting yourself in front of the camera and adding clips from the movies you're talking about. Video essays/long form videos are really, _really_ in demand right now. I'm here to help, share your channel & videos, and cheer you on 🥰✨
Subbed with notifications on as well ~
Well thank you! That is very kind. I have a lot of video essays on my channel. - The Halloween series are all me on camera, in fact everything up to and including the Trans Representation are all me on camera. But video essays take a long to research/write/ect. I'm working on two now but they take months. So meanwhile I just upload my (Spotify) podcast recordings to YT. I never add clips of movies because copyright is too annoying to deal with and I don't have a computer powerful enough to edit that.
the anxiety in curts voice, "are you gonna make me watch all the terrible 3D sequels?" xD Do love freddy's dead tho great googoo dolls song too

OMG I completely agree about killing dogs in movies. Can’t stand it. Automatically brings a movie down for me. Loving this series!
Hey there (please reply if you can!), I totally agree that Insidious and The Conjuring are both connected to each other, so my fingers are tightly crossed that one day they will crossover with each other, and I know that Jason Blum said that he plans on crossing over Sinister with Insidious at some point down the line, but I wouldn't be surprised if him and James Wan have had discussions about adding The Conjuring to it as well. I mean it wouldn't be difficult to negotiate even though they are both under different production companies because Blum (Blumhouse Productions - Insidious) and Wan (Atomic Monster - The Conjuring) are really good friends and have been collaborating/working together on countless horror films, including Insidious and Sinister, for over a decade at this point so yeah. Also, I don't think the two franchises being set many years apart makes it difficult to do either because the Alien and Predator solo films were set hundreds of years apart from each other and they still managed to have not one but TWO crossovers, so I feel that the different time periods is completely redundant here as well to be honest. And yeah, Josh Lambert being related to Ed Warren would be a cool way to explain why he looks just like him in-universe, and a terrifying story where the Lamberts meet a grown-up Judy Warren to take on a demonic team-up between the Red-Faced Demon and the Nun sounds like a great time to be had, so who knows, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what ends up happening!
It's a fun theory, I don't usually go too deep into the outside business side (studios/creators/ect) aspect. I don't think I'd like to see them actually interact. I'd much rather like newer, different, stories like Malignant.
@@legaultrantsI just think it would be really cool to see because the two franchises would fit in perfectly with each other for obvious reasons. And yes, I don't really follow the business side of things too much, a little bit but not fully, I was just using it to explain my thoughts. But yeah, that'a totally fair enough, we're all allowed our own opinions on things at the end of the day!
No they not the same I think I insidious is better than conjuring
Awesome go through! But Lego. Needed more Doctor Who. Otherwise - no notes.😝
Oh dear...
Lego is so sweaty and I love it haha, learned a lot And yes texas chainsaw def has a stench lol, its weird even when I see like a halloween statue of leatherface or something I get a weird smell in my nose too idk if its psychological or if its that mask, or a combo, its really weird.
