    Hi Chris, great video, very useful. You mentioned at the end that you can change the order that they appear but this only seems possible for tickets in the technician portal. It does not look like it is possible to change the order of the fields in the client portal and they just appear in alphabetical order which is not ideal. Am I missing something?

      On the client portal they will always appear at the bottom section, and yes they cant be moved around in the portal itself.

    Where you consigned the MacBook to replace it because it was faulty and moved the stock to the customer. How do you do it in return so move the asset from the customer back into stock (we repaired it, user error they didn't charge it) so we can reuse it as a spare/replacement

    i just started this video so forgive me if you answer this: do you make your clients a department? if i have 10 clients and i want to see them as a "organization chart" do i make them their own organizations, departments? or do i just leave them as clients? also is my personal company the only organization? apologies if i didnt word this thoroughly. thanks in advance.

      No. Departments have nothing to do with Departments at all. Departments are the actual departments in your company like Sales, Finance, Support etc. They are for your INTERNAL company and not the client

    On the next QA session can you talk about tech/service desk management? Best practices and configuration. Our service manager is having a challenge moving from ConnectWise where we could see clearly on the dispatch board progress. Maybe go into ticket scheduling, monitoring progress, how to catch missed appointments or techs running late. Any input would be awesome.

    Are you able to create a global dashboard that can be automatically filtered based on the customer? e.g. an opened tickets per month global dashboard that can be provided access to all customers. that automatically limits the viewable records to only that of the customer viewing the dashboard within the portal?

    The reason that you were getting the duplicate message when placing the asset tag initially was potentially due to the 2nd and 3rd fields having Macbook 2 filled out

    Thank you for these series! We are in the process of switching from Syncro to Halo. In Syncro we auto-generate invoices and auto-settle them with Stripe CC integration. Zero effort on our end and never had a problem. We transfer total sales figures to our QuickBooks online at the end of each month since our bookkeeper said no need to duplicate invoices in two separate platforms. QB just needs to know money we collected. I'm finding Halo lacking compare to Syncro when it comes to handling automatic payments.

      Also you can run a report using a Custom SQL Query with the following SQL COmmand. ** select Name from sys.tables ** This will return back all of the tables that you can use.

    Is it possible to use the board view as default as a dashboard widget? My intention is that when my dashboard loads up, the first thing I see is the board view without having to click into anything

      Yes you can. You can edit the widget and tell it what board to use as the default

      @@SondelaConsulting I can see that option for setting the default board, but by default in the dashboard, it shows up in Grid View. The only option available is to 'Open in Board View Automatically when drilling in'. Wanted to have the option to have it display as Board View already when viewing the dashboard. Is that possible?

    This series has been really useful, but one thing I've noticed is we seem to be missing some of the functionality within the workflows you have been discussing. I'm guessing we may be on an older version of Halo. I would be useful to preface these videos with the build version you are using so if something is missing and we are behind on build version, we know we need to update or wait for stable to updated.

      Yes you can create a ticket type with the Type Project - You may have deleted it. (Was in the original trial)
