Couldn't get into solo Alice ... even though I did buy "Welcome to my nightmare"...and pretended the original band was playing on it...i was devastated when they broke up... Alice/Mike/Dennis/Neal/Glen...the only Alice Cooper for me ❤
@@philipholmes5884 Definitely classic Alice! It was an incredible lineup!
I’ve never had London Calling. Bee and Storm - loved those vids. Loved both poems. Pup cup!!! The creepy molts! Wednesday has ominous music. The deer were pretty. I saw the bartender. Lili made watching Carol so much better - she provided commentary. I heard my name. Spider!!!
@@garagegeek4863 Your comments are as frenetic as Sucker Punch! I love it!
@@MarkMorris-1962this is why I teach my students that transitions are important! 😂
Enjoyed the episode Mark, especially those poems. Really well done. Thanks for sharing your work.
Thanks, Rich! That means a lot to me.
Another splendid, nay, lovely episode Mark. Enjoyed it a lot. Love Jokerman and License to Kill. A rich and pleasant week it would seem. Thank you for sharing Mark.
Thank you, Morten! Some of this week seemed as long as a bad year, but there were plenty of highlights, too.
@@MarkMorris-1962 Well, you have family and friends to watch movies and lizards eating grubs with. So that’s nice. Hope next week is even better Mark.
Another great one! I like the mood you set up for those ghost storys and thanks for the name drop!
Thanks, Jack! You are always so kind.
Hi Mark - Infidels is a really great record. London Calling is in my top five records of all time. I half expected a tornado after that storm video. Lovers' Spat - very interesting. I enjoyed the poems. (I once had a few poems published in some campus journals, but I would never read them online!). If you haven;t written any poems about tarantulas, maybe you should 🙂
You just don't hear many great tarantula poems. I'll give it a shot! I'm going to find those campus journals, Brian. I'll read your work for you!
@@MarkMorris-1962 Of course, Bob Dylan published a book of poems called Tarantula, but I don't recall any Tarantula references. I think your voice would suit the few poems I had published. I was compelled to do a reading what back when, but I ensured that I had three glasses of wine first!
Another beautiful episode from my favorite weekly series. Thank you for the important work that you and your colleagues do, Mark. Your infidels love is matched by a number of VCers.. I believe it is Steve’s favorite Dylan and Sam’s 2nd favorite. I’m looking forward to spooky season and all the classic horror movies you’ll get into!
Thanks, Alex! I'm looking forward to spooky season, too!
Thanks Mark for the mention! The public shoutouts are amazing. The poems you read from your book are great. Book on audio opportunity? Nice pup cup dog outing, they never have pup cups on menus? Sucker punch is one I have not watched. Anything that gets a 6 on IMDB normally I like. This one gets a 6.1. Hoping for a quick recovery of the woman in the ER. It seems Iowa needs to allocate more resources. Had to fast forward through the spider footage but enjoyed Carla the lizard. Great video as always.
I like the book on audio idea! The woman in the ER was back to work the very next morning. These people are beyond dedicated. Always love hearing from you, Shawn!
WTF! Where do you live, Mark?!?! 😂 “Give me a hug, give me a hug… find it in your heart.” 😂 Breaking out the big guns today: Infidels & London Calling. Spanish Bombs … what a melody. Many thanks for the shout out pal! My videos seem to flip flop between irreverent nonsense and po faced preaching. I need to find the sweet spot or as I like to call it the Mark Morris Zone (MMZ). I’m not a fan of Sucker Punch at all (like a 2 hour music video), but like your daughter, I’m sure my daughter would love it too. Wasn’t a fan of the CGI, but I maybe didn’t give it my full attention on first watch. I’ll get it lined up for our next movie night. Oh, didn’t know you worked with trauma experienced young people, Mark. I was doing the same for the last 2 years. Just finished working for the charity in August. A tough, rewarding and under appreciated line of work … you have my respect. Have a good week my friend! Jack
Sucker Punch definitely isn't for everyone. I probably wouldn't have given it much attention except that Lily loves it so much. That trauma work is heart wrenching. I've done it for 22 years now. It can be incredibly rewarding, but there are days when you feel helpless and hopeless. I admire anyone who does it and gives it their all. Some days, I have a hard time hitting the MMZ, myself, Jack!
Steve one of a kind! So Mark did Elsa really catch the squid? Great video footage.
She actually did catch it, the second time! She works better without the leash. Thanks, Shawn!
This is fabulous!

Hey Mark! Orange works well on Elsa. Maddie used to destroy toys too, but grew out of it at some point. We would look out into the backyard and there would be stuffing all over the place. Oh the humanity! Glad she likes it, and thank you for the kind words. Cheers!

It's sad to hear about Brian, but I'm glad you have those memories to take with you. Alice Cooper rocks by the way!! Cheers, Darryl
Thanks, Darryl! Yes, I have lots of fond and crazy memories from those years!
Great entry Mark. Tragic to lose a special friend that way. Peace my friend.
Thanks, Jack! Bryan was a great guy and it was an honor to know him.
Thank you for the Projekt Gemineye recommendation; it sounds worth the Canadian shipping! Your Halloween record reminded me of a ghost story LP I had as a kid. It is on YT so I have been enjoying it. Speaking of scary: your Ring videos! I think I would rather not know what is going on outside, haha. Hope you get the AC going and have a better week. Cheers Mark!
Thanks for dropping by, Scott! I have a few ghost story records and other Halloween vinyl, too. Loved that stuff as a kid and now it's fun to re-experience in my "second childhood." Hopefully, I won't need A/C the rest of the year and the neighborhood has cleaned up after someone renovated the condemned house next to me. No issues for several months and the only trespassers have been raccoons and possums!
Excellent job as usual, Mark. This is on my To Do list.
Thanks, Brian! My To-Do list has grown since not getting any videos in last week. I'm going to try and catch up this week.
Hey Mark! Love Alice! Me and my best friend were in a band back then and played 2 songs from that album. "Psychedelics and that kind of stuff" Good luck Mark!
Alice is still a favorite! Would have loved to hear you and your band covering Alice songs!
Congrats My friend! Nice🤘👊
Thank you!
I’ve never listened to that Alice album so now I need to hear that song about the Universal actor. That’s so awful about your friend. Thank you for sharing the poem. I hadn’t read that one yet and it is beautiful. Fun video.
I added the link to the Ballad of Dwight Fry in the description for easy reference! Bryan was a bright and funny person and I have tons of stories! Glad you liked the poem, David.
Man this was a great entry! I still need to relisten to those Bruce Springsteen albums I think I'll like them when I'm older more maybe since I might understand them more?
Thanks, Jack! You might be right about the Springsteen albums. I loved those early ones immediately, but I tended to love them more and more as I got older.
20:14 I'm sure she was thinking of emailing your mail from now on ! Elsa is a great guard dog ! 🐺👍
Ha! I really did feel bad! Luckily, she was the forgiving type and laughed it off.
Great entry Mark. Thanks for sharing such touching stories of your friend. The Ballad of Dwight Fry is a top 10 song of all time (yes.. of all time!) for me. Best of luck!
Thanks, Alex! If we ever meet in person, I'll tell you a crazy story regarding the Ballad of Dwight Fry. Thanks for watching!
High praise for "Dwight Fry" Alex! I printed up t-shirts with that theme. If I have one in your size I'll send you one.
So sorry that your nights are so horrible. Project Gemineye has a great cover. Congrats - I’m late to this video and you have sooo many comments. I love Two from the Trunk. The focus in on Topo Gigio made me laugh!!! Dang, your area is sketchy…or I’m just not noticing everything going on in my neighborhood. The Elsa-Lili jerk at the end. Mustard on the wheel - at least it didn’t get in your shirt! Name this video Trespassing Storms. I prefer Priscilla, Queen of the Desert! Seriously, I haven’t seen Priscilla yet. But when I did my academy awards overview a commenter got on me pretty hard because I hadn’t seen the movie and claimed I was useless as a commentator. You are killing it over there!!!
Thanks, David! I was hoping you'd like the Topo touch. This really has been a sketchy area. I was worried about Luxy moving to LA, but honestly, I'm sure she is safer there. The heatwave finally broke this weekend, so my sleep as been much more restful, which improves my mood and general world outlook. Lily is introducing me to so many great movies! Today, we watched Sucker Punch. I'll be talking about that in my next episode. Thanks for always being such a supporter and inspiration. You taught me some of the techniques that you like about my videos!
I saw Sucker Punch at the theater. I liked the visual style and I think I guessed the reveal but I think I got tired of the frenetic pace by the end. It seemed like a really long music video bug I saw it so long ago. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
@@garagegeek4863 I guessed the reveal, too! I kept telling Lily, "I wish I would have seen this on the big screen."
@@MarkMorris-1962 it was really nice but it got too frenetic with all the rapid cut scenes like in music vids. If I remember correctly…
Sorry to hear you and Elsa are suffering in the heat! OMG, the staring man is so creepy, especially with the other Ring Cam creepers set to music - lol. Thanks for the shout-out; I'm honored! You're inspiring me to make better videos. I love your creativity, keep it coming!

Settling in this Labor Day morning Mark with coffee in hand, and seeing how your week went.
