Any idea of what I could expect performance wise from a 1240 and the 7hp. I’m trying to build a combo that 2 guys can pick up and put in a skiff or truck bed. Dogs 100 we are about 170 each. I know we’re pushing what that boat is rated for just want to make sure it’ll still get us over logs in the timber. we’re from NC so we ain’t afraid to sink a few boats.

If you are looking into one of these I very much recommend them for a body between 14-16 foot long they are extremely light and Simple but I would recommend a better throttle handle the plastic one is garbage

What top speed are you getting? I have a 1548 Weldbuilt with a 23 Copperhead and with 2 people and no gear only getting 21 to 22 mph.

6+ yrs. later I'm interested to see how this combo held up.

That motor was choking when he when through that high vegetation. You see he had to keep pulling the prop out the water to get the RPM's up.

do you have a video of it running in open water? if not, do you know around how fast it would travel?
