@TheQuackhead08 The green boat is a 1232 and the silver boat is a 1240, both boats are all welded and the silver boat weighs 185 pounds without the motor
@brax7on The motor used in the video is a 6.5 hp and we also have a 10 and 12 hp. If you live in Louisiana and want to go for a ride come on over to the shop and we'll ride. If you have a boat you want to test one of the house motors on bring it with you and we'll rig your boat.
@TheQuackhead08 A 1232 riveted is perfect for the Copperhead. In the videos Copperhead Mud motor in the marsh and Copperhead mud motor we are running a 1236 riveted. It was a great set up.
What speeds would you suspect from a 12hp on a 1240 bare boat back bench and a small front deck? Im looking for something that will get into backwaters but be plenty fast as well. So Im thinking this may be exactly what im looking for. Are there any modifications that can be done to gain more speed?
we have a couple guys running 18 hp on grizzly mod v's with full floors and hunt deck which are not the best hull for mud motors and they are seeing 22-23 with 1 guy and 21-22 with 2 guys. on a lighter boat than the grizzly you will see higher speeds
You can expect to see speeds of 24-28 mph in the shallows, any faster and the only thing in the water will be the prop. You can do mods to the motor, shoot me an e-mail at gil.copperhead@yahoo.com and we'll talk more.

The green boat is a 1232 custom flat jon that was made by the guy running it. He does make boats on his time off.
