Bumblebee rejuvinated with sugar on damp kitchen roll and saved
Spotted this little fella (quite big actually for a BB in the UK) in our conservatory the other day. Mentioned to the Mrs and she said she saw it the day before. It was very lethergic and having read or heard something here or there about bees (and any small creatures), I knew it'd be out of energy after 1/2 day or so stuck indoors. Had an idea, got some kitchen roll, dampened it and sprinked with a big of sugar and popped it next to it, within seconds it climbed on to it, its probuscus thing came out and it started sucking up pure energy, fascinating watching it. Then after about 2-3mins of this, suddendly its movement hastened, then its wings sprung into action and it was full of beans ready to go. It was right next to one of the opening windows and doing the usual flying against glass so open the windows, ushered it towards the opening and and away it went.
Wish I filled its full journey from letheric before to full of energy and its quick exit once it was fully fuelled.

Yamaha TDM 850 (4TX) Start Up after fixing rich carb issues
Переглядів 18 тис.12 років тому
1996 Yamaha TDM850 4TX. Bought the bike cheaply as running on only one cylinder. After giving it a good general clean up and service it was fitted new Mikuni needles, emulsion tubes and main jets to replace the bodged (overly rich) Dynojet setup which made it produce black smoke and foul plugs v quickly. All good now.

Just looking into getting a Kart off eBay to mess about with. Seen a TKM 100cc with the BT82 2 stroke engine. Do you normally need to bump start these if you haven’t got the electric starter? Thanks in advance, I’m new to this. Other option I thought was get a Kart with a single or twin 4 stroke Honda engines, less maintenance etc. I’m guessing with a twin engine still quick, maybe not as fast as 100cc 2 stroke?🤷♂️
Forums have said new fuel pressure regulator. Under left side of tank.
Wish this was a proper video.... not just a slideshow with some captions and a few seconds of video...
It's over the course of a few months, hard to capture all stages in short videos
Хай пендосы у меня тоже 929 таже проблема с оборотами как будто подтраивает поменял свечи проблемы не ушла мне кажется либо катушки либо клапана зазоры ушли
What was the problem
Faulty spark plug, replaced them all, problem gone
Hey mine does the same, did you ever find a solution?
I should have updated with the fix back in 2018 so sorry for the delay - It was the plugs or at least one of them. I didn't bother to find out which one it was and ordered a complete set of 4, popped them in and afterwards was running normally again. Note - access to plugs is a bit tight but my bikes own plug tool from its Honda toolkit while looking basic works well with the limited access available together with a small ratchet socket or spanner. I still have the same bike, same set of plugs (iridium plugs last well) and the bikes still running well although not putting on as many miles as I used to each year :-(
@@MoiX1970 annoyingly I changed my plugs recently and ots been running fine. I've blanked the htev as it kept going wrong maybe that's it.
@@needbettername8583 Did your issue start when you changed the plugs only I guess theres a chance a plug cap may not be firmly seated or even one of the new ones is fautly plug or possibly slightly caught and bent the eletrode when inserting one of them. Otherwise, you maybe right in the HTEV, can't see the point of blanking that off as it improves low/midrange and opens fully at high rpm so overall more power I would assume
@@MoiX1970 It doesn't give you more power, it just helps in the low end. Could be badly seated cap I'll have to take a look.

Nice with the black frame and swinging arm etc.
Was just looking at this same model on Amazon I think. That looks good as fuck. Thanks, this is the second video you posted that was helpful!
Whoa, what an awesomely specific video. Guess I'll have to try new spark plugs. Honestly, the old girl is at 46k. Probably time for a big ass tune up, cause I'd bet money the dude before me never did any of that shit
Yamaha rear shock, powder coating pieces......... NO!! What are you doing to classic bikes, trying to ruin it?!
No, want some spares.. kindly help..anyone

bello sissimo
Is this the carburetor model or the electronic ignition?
those are two different things, carbs/injectors provide fuel & electronic ignition which replaced points, provides the sparks
Carbs with Electronic Ignition to answer your query, you'd be hard pressed to find a bike made int eh last 40 years that doesn't have electronic ignition, carbs, perhaps 20 years+
Nice work Sir
Are the diaphragms in the carburetor on their way out? Take it off, and check that both are still nice and flexible. They may not be supplying enough fuel to the engine, causing it to cut out when running at higher Revs.
Bad
beautiful!
How did you fix this? Mine has started to do the exact same thing
Turned out to be a faulty spark plug which I thought odd as you’d think a faulty plug would more evident as the revs rise. Changed all 4 and it ran perfectly afterwards
@@MoiX1970 thanks I will try that before trying more expensive stuff.
@@MoiX1970 i got the same problem with mine either plugs or coil sticks , runs brilliant from 3000 rpm and above , but below between 1000 rpm / 3000 runs like a dumper truck
@@rorygable172 did you try it and what happened , any improvement
redliner same here tried FPR coils and plugs no difference.
Guess what color- yep, bikers black
ive redone my nc30 too but this is way alot of work done on this build. welldone!!
Preciosa 😍😍😍
What kind of Autosol product did y use to clean exhaust pipes? Could you please post a link?
I wasn't aware Autosol made other products. This is their original product...a paste in a tube www.amazon.co.uk/Autosol-Metal-Polish-75-ml/dp/B003XJ1ODM
Nice job mate. Great looking bike
Why did you make the beautiful aluminum frame and the rims black? This looks totally shitty.
how did you get your silver main frame black? is there some sort of cover?
Its fitted with King Carbon Frame Protectors available here www.kingcarbon.co.uk/cbr-900rr-1992-1995-frame-protectors/ or you could do like I did on an NC30 I used to have, strip the bike andhave it powder coating see NC30 here ua-cam.com/video/pTr7MYSOiTs/v-deo.html
So fucking clean 😍
Ducati Monster and iconic bike thanks for posting
Is it possible that the engine is running on 3 cylinders? With a temperature measuring gun you can compare temperatures in the exhaust manifolds and contrast it.
Did you find a problem? My bike runs same, I cannot find a problem.
Very good work! The M750 is one of my favorite motorcycles because of how balanced it is. I have restored a Suzuki Bandit 400 from the year 1993 and, now that I have finished it, I need to find another project and I am evaluating the possibility of looking for a Monster 750 or 900. I loved your work. Congratulations.
nice ... my dream bike fvr400 ..
What brand and model # carburetor is on your machine?
The carb is the DPK series by TK (Teikei).
Hi, i am trying to remove the carbs on my 99 TDM850 for a similar issue, could you tell me how you removed the carbs from the bike easily and where you got parts?
I never said removing carbs was easy but its not that tricky. I can't go into all the details but you need to remove or at least lift up the tank and remove airbox to get at the carbs which aside from cables etc will be held in place between engine/airbox with large jubilee clips....they can often be awkward to remove and get at the screws. Good luck
If you want more details, try this link to a thead on my forum where I detailed the work I did on the bike honda-forums.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=25129&start=0& Pictures in the thread have since gone due to Photobucket money grabbing Photobucket going from free to paid a few years ago
Incredible work
Nice job
Which exhaust is that? I know it's a Yoshimura but I can't tell the model
Wind out the H screw on the zama carb 1/4 turn.
Nice one. I'm about to begin mine in couple weeks
Great vid but the most irritating music on the planet
I'm rebuilding a 93 xlr 250. Bugger won't start - Low Comoression. (Spark). Quick question - do you remember what the deal is with the cam lifter lever for the auto de compressor operated by the kick start? I know you're supposed to to hold it down as you put the right side casing on the engine.... but once I operate the kick starter COMPLETELY it will knock it back against the inside wall with no return... I've matched it with the manual... maybe someone has a clue? Cheers...
Hay bro, what dose it means A and B in in the clock?
Hey not hay and does not dose. Grasp that and you'll probably be halfway to figuring out what buttons on a set of clocks might be for.
Great job
which brand of shock absorber that you use
Technoflex as mentioned around 30-35 seconds into to the video
Classic bike. Just got one for my son. 26 years old but in real good nic. I have the VFR800Fi 2001 model. Still looks almost like new. Love v4 motor. My previous bike was the NC24. Had lots of fun on that bike. Must say the VFR400 is arguably one of the best handling road bikes I have ever ridden.
Try changing the fuel lines they go brittle and take in air, you can also look at the exhaust outlet see if there's a blockage. Check if there's a spark arrester as they bock up.
I so preffered the original paint.
very nice bike, well done with the reconditioning, i am looking at buying one of these this week here in New Zealand
