The BIG story of the Omega Speedmaster Reduced.
Переглядів 13 тис.3 роки тому
Many know the Speedmaster was originally designed as a motor sport racing watch, but with N.A.S.A certification it will be forever known as the Moon watch. However the smaller automatic version - The Speedmaster Reduced, would take up the challenge on the original promise of the designers of that first Speedmaster.

I picked up a Pulsar P4 stainless steel dress with a green display. Outstanding condition. keeping perfect time. Do you have any idea of the value? Thanks!
Isn’t this fake?
A great great great video and amazing narration. Congrats 👏🏻
Love the video - no words, just a close look. THX!
Lovely video! You're about to break 1000 subs! Please keep making these wonderful videos! The details in this one and your pacing is perfect.
Isn't this a converted one? This isn't an original space view.
Question: I have a Porche Design ORFINA chronograph. However it does not have ORFINA on the face, it has PD logo. Otherwise it’s identical. Purchased new in 1986. It does have ORFINA movement. I believe it’s the reissue and I’ve seen descriptions ’PD chrono’ Is the PD chrono collectible?
Certainly. Wear it in good health.
5:56 That is actually the DW-5200 G-Shock.
How cool, a pin lever chronometer wow, thanks for this video 😊
I can't wait for my next Omega Caribbean cruise on Virgin Voyages.😂😂😂😂
Very very nice
❤Gerald Genta ❤ Beautiful video Thank God Today she bought a Gerald Genta watch vintage octgnal it in my own collection of Gerald Genta
I love the elevator music for the astronaut shots.
Impressing. Suggest video sequence with actual watch sound (no music)
Easy on the melodrama please
The best and most informative video on speedy reduced! Thank you so much for this wonderful video
What about doing a presentation on the "dirty dozen" military watches? Or the Rolex MilSub? Even Panerai?
Superb! I even still have the Scalextric John Player Special race car...and to see (by it seems coincidence) that Andretti is wearing a unique black watch is historically coincidental...simply..UNIQUE and indeed S.U.P.E.R.B! One could even be as bold as to say..an understated Heuer Monaco...(subjective...of course!) Wonderful presentation...
Keep your wonderful presentations coming...just subbed 👍
That Seiko at 1:03 is a marine chronometer. I sailed with them for a while.
I’m glad you’re back! I almost unsubscribed. Please keep making more videos
Will do 👍
Wittnauer was the King before Rolex and owned by Bullava and Bullaba who is now who is owned Citizen Watch manufacturing Group. 🦉
Excellent video!
I recall the short battery life and impossible to view in sunlight, so wanted a continuous display. Now I realize that being able to see a watch's time, continuously, like having your desk in front of a 6 foot wall clock isn't that good of idea. That your little discipline to push a button, to see that time, then going to that red black off display, like some Star Trek device, you were better off, mentally, not marching to time. Plus it just wasn't some electronic calculator that told time, pushing that button; no, it sprung to life. There was satisfaction in it, reading the time. Those LEDs lighting up never getting old to look at. There's also a satisfaction, in yes, you can make this better with LCDs, but I choose not to. Deal with it, I'm on island time.
Hi, I have the same exact model of 2.12 minute. Unfortunately is completely destroyed by the rust, the movement is in great condition I don’t why 😂. My question is if I take an 81950 dial and glass would fit? Obviously I’ll take the original dial!
Yes. The watch at 2:12 is a 81950 so a 81950 suitable glass and dial will fit.
I graduated from Bulova in 1970 and have been repairing/restoring Accutron ever since for both the trade (jewelry stores) as well as private clients. The Accutron is truly a masterpiece!
I've watched many of your videos since your channel appeared on my feed. I really appreciate your style and content. It's refeshing to see your videos after many other channels are focused on giving specs and pushing the latest new thing. Thank you!
Nice video crap watch
i have one
I like this style of vid. Reminds me of old school history vids.
I have one of these. Love the individual dots that make up the digits a lot more than the segments you see on other digital watches. They light up the circuit board a little too. It’s also just a great conversation piece. It came with a paper that explained the concept of digital time, as if it was explained to someone from another century
Apparently there's no screws in order to remove the movement from the case... how is it done? Thanks
Genus is what genus does.
Hi did u change the rotor ?
I found a SpaceView at a Consignment store in NJ about 2 years ago. I Love it!
Sad too see none cares about Buren, Hamilton or Bucherer micro rotor powered watches. I have cal. 1332 powered intramatic diver still one of my faviourites.
Great vid for an even greater genius designer..thanks for sharing
Best cinematic for the forgotten history watchmaker John Harwood
John Harwood The First and The Forgotten
nice, but cut the music 10seconds in. fade out. No need to talk over such loud music.
Video is short alright. The period between 1967 & 1972 is omitted, and the early 1970 unveiling of prototype is not discussed.
Only 1 year and then the 48? Wow!
Seems that resistor and capacitor are not soldered together ! ( 0:51) The legs are just squished but not soldered. Production failure ..............you should fix it for better and longtime working of the watch.
You seem to be saying that this watch is the actual one owned by Jimmie Mattern. Is that the case? If so, can you confirm that it's in the Frontiers of Flight Museum? I have one of 250 of these watches that were prizes given by the Pure Oil Company. It's inscribed on the case back as the "Jimmie Mattern Round the World Model" along with "Prize Award" and "The Pure Oil Co. U.S.A." It's one of only two that I have ever seen and one of my real treasures!
Hi Brian, Congrats on your watch. The watch in this video is not the actual Jimmie Mattern watch.
I couldn't watch die to loud and annoying background music.
Absolutely well done mate just discovered your channel and subbed!
Thanks for the video, very interesting.
LOVE THIS SHIT
If you are buying to please others, something is wrong. End of the day, as you said, a lot of Invicta buyers aren't into high horology and I'll add that those that are don't always find it worth the exorbitant price tags. Enjoy what you buy is the motto and Invicta does well at making that possible for lots of people, which was the original mission of the actual founder in 1837. It's the brand that got me into watches, and, while I don't ever mistake them for high end pieces, they actually spec very well for their price point, comparatively. I went on to buy Breitling, TAG, Longines, Tutima, Hamilton, Tissot, Certina and many more, but Invicta remains very affordable fun, and props to Eyal for the marketing machine. Minus points for deceptive marketing in some cases, but many brands are guilty of that, unfortunately.
👏👏👏👏🇪🇸🇪🇸
Another great video!
