What is an EP van?

Can someone please explain to me how KR numbers its engines? I’m used to British or European models where you have a ‘class’ number followed by the engine number. So for example I’m confused by the two DLs, one 92 and one 96. I know there’s not that many DLs! Thanks in advance 😊

Are they able to go to Auckland now? I remember there was some sort of incompatibility between the NIMT and Auckland Suburban electrifications despite both being 25 kV 50 Hz AC.

Love thise electrics! Great video. I remember seeing a changeover double Dx to double Ef at Palmerston North many years ago. 0200, by the last wagon went past the parcel bay, that train was motoring!
