Lots of great games here, and Dragon Quest V on DS is hands down one of the best games I've ever played. Great monster designs and I love the way the monsters are named too, recruiting monsters to your party is really fun, the music is great, the story is huge in scope. Don't forget to use the shoulder buttons to move the camera around

I agree with everything on this list except for diamond and pearl, and march or the minis. DP are awful, and mvsdk 2 is fine but isn’t the best controlling

I hate the NES sound, it is ear rape. I prefer sega master. Even the Atari 2600 was more pleasant. The best sound and music was the PC-Engine/Turbografx16

oof, Streets of Rage taking a beating in this rankings. I'm a huge fan of the series especially #2 which is easily my favorite beat em up of all time.

good list. I need to check out the second Toe Jam and Earl game. I tend to put Contra and Mega Turrican on a separate list for run and guns but if you keep them together Gunstar Heroes and the Adventures of Batman and Robin are worth consideration.

The only games on your list that uses a little of sprite scaling are Skitchin and Road Rash 3... Virtua Racing doesn't even use sprites. And in the title you say "driving games" and in the description "race games"... two very different things, since Skitchin, Road Rash and Super Hang-on aren't driving games and Chase HQ 2 and Outlander aren't racing games. Cohesion is important... not good when someone says one thing on the title, proposes another on description and in the end presents a video that doesn't do neither one, no matter if it's a good selection or not (I don't think it is). Cheers!

Still got mine in mint condition sitting on its custom made stand in front of all my PS4+5 games. Just got a Ayn Odin and now have more PSP games than I can count. Such an amazing system and the Odin upgrades the graphics make the games so much better to play.

Virtua Racing is cheats really. Only Road Rash, Skitchin and Outlander scales sprites in this video (all the Road Rash engine). Super Skidmarks and Power Drive are only 1 background layer, let alone sprite swapping simulating scaling. I'm playing Shadowrun right now and every time you enter a node you see sprite scaling. A proper video would find real sprite scaling. Thunderforce 2 does terrible scaling if you complete the game.

Some very solid multiplayer games on SNES. But I hate that people pick Super Street Fighter II out of all the Street Fighter games on the system, especially given it has easily the worst sound and the most censorship. I'd pick the original Street Fighter II and Turbo above it any day.

With the video title, are you asking if the TurboGrafx-16 is the best system of that era for platformers? Because the answer would be no imo. I'd say the SNES is definitely the king when it comes to platformers, certainly the more traditional mascot type. And if more action games and run 'n' gun are also considered under the platformer moniker, I think the Genesis would be up there too and possibly ahead for some people. Although it looks like the TurboGrafx-16 has a solid lineup of platformers of its own.

Keith Courage is my favorite game of all time. I love the music above everything. I know I am alone.
