    Diatomaceous earth is dope because it has microscopic razor sharp edges that pierce into any insect that has a exoskeletons defenses and literally leaves the air to dehydrate their body. Its also just a type of sand so roaches are basically oblivious to the harm it causes and dont actively avoid it

  • @PuntMirror
    @PuntMirror 2 роки тому

    After a tenant moved out they too left a roach infestation. Tried all the poison/bomb methods from big box stores and no luck. The only thing that worked was diatomaceous earth and I noticed a massive improvement the first week. Been 6 years now and still no sign of them. I went crazy with it too, I opened up some walls and sprinkled it pretty much everywhere I could.

    You were close. Dia-tum-ashus earth.. great stuff.. used a turkey baster to make clouds of powder and get it in the crevices, pipes, etc. they get powder on their little leg hairs and it spreads to their exoskeleton and cuts it up like little shards of glass and they bring it to their nest brood, and often feed or accidentally spread it to the other roaches.. It takes a couple weeks but it will eventually kill them all..Cockroaches build immunity to chemical sprays but they can’t beat DE.. It’s safe, a little messy but it fucking really works.✌️

  • @JCX-9

    It’s the best kept secret for killing roaches. Yes you don’t inhale it just the same you don’t inhale baby powder, but you can drink it if its the one for human consumption. I give it to my cats for deworming. It’s an excellent stuff.

      If you have a problem with it, please try that, because I have a problem in my car and feel like it would be kicked into the air while I drive. (Driving is a necessity for me) if that works I’ll do that, but if it doesn’t work, I really can’t afford more roaches. I noticed them late, and holy Jesus, they are here

    • @roechambeau8420
      @roechambeau8420 2 роки тому

      They dont eat it. On a microscopic scale they leave abrasions on their exoskeleton which will dehydrate them. It's like crawling across broken glass for them. To my understanding, getting it wet or putting it in peanut butter would make it ineffective. The food grade stuff can be safely eaten. And if you eat abit of the peanut butter it might be good for your colon or get rid of a tapeworm. Although I would just get a doctor to prescribe you something else instead.

    • @tashaagarza
      @tashaagarza 2 роки тому

      You can mix it with water to apply. It will leave a white coating FYI. It isn't effective wet BUT once it dries it is. The water just helps to apply it without dust.

    And what about water getting under the home? I like the idea but might want to consider digging out and and installing a barrier that meets up to the bottom of the door

    • @jonjonsin824
      @jonjonsin824 2 роки тому

      If you do this you actually want to build a platform for the bottom. Elevate the platform on some bricks or use pressure treated wood just to get what you store off the ground 6 inches or so. There definitely plenty of wood under this place to build one 😂😂. Or you could go the cheap route and get high grade tarps and just be sure to have them held down by pinning around all of the edges of the tarp with a 4x4 frame. Basically just a big 4x4 square under the tarp with the tarp nailed on the top of the 4x4 so any water will run under the tarps and never go over any of the edges since it will be 4" off the ground. Haha been in this mobile for almost 20 years so I know a bit

You just pop the stud loose, works it with long pliers and a bit of pressure on the dust shield. It will fall out and you can retrieve it with the long pliers. So far, mixing several pesticide solutions together and laying down a heavy layer of it has kept the enemy at bay so far. I’m hoping that this diatomaceous earth will kill them as soon as they exit the sewer or cross my fence line. I have higher hopes after watching your video. I wasn’t too confident about using it at first, but your video shows how effective this stuff can be. Wish me luck as I’m heading out to the frontline trenches right now to hopefully end the fight against the roaches 🪳
