SOSIAY: The 10 Commandments and the Kingdom of God
In this week's video, Dr. Joel focuses on the Book of Exodus, emphasizing the significance of the Ten Commandments as foundational laws for the Israelites, guiding them to live distinctively as God's people amid surrounding nations. He highlights these commandments as a means of both separation and mission, reminding the Israelites of their identity and responsibilities to worship only Yahweh and to treat others justly, including forming protections for the vulnerable. Transitioning to the New Testament, Dr. Joel discusses Jesus's Triumphal Entry and his interactions with the Pharisees, stressing the importance of fearing God rather than human authority. He concludes by asserting that all people, including those in power, are made in the image of God, urging believers to live out their faith authentically and avoid hypocrisy.

It’s also important to know that we are still under the law!!! YESHUA ie Jesus said I did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill the law!!! Fulfill in the Hebrew in this instance is teach! Law in the Hebrew in instruction!!! YESHUA ie Jesus is saying he did not come to abolish the law ie instructions but to fulfill ie teach the instructions!!! YESHUA had a problem with the man made fences ie laws from the priest which made GODS law burdensome! YESHUA was teaching his law ie instructions so we come live the way GOD intended us to live!! GODS commandments helps us live a more righteous life, yes we will fail but that why YESHUA came for our salvation if we repent ie turn away from sin and to GOD, believe in YESHUA knowing he died as the perfect sacrifice and three days later rose again!

Ahem, I’m sure nobody at that scene knew what Moses or Elijah would look like, unless Jesus verified it, don’t believe it! Plus there’s nothing in the historical record that says Moses even existed! I suspect the same for Elijah too!

Why do young people assume they can explain anything? If you're twenty years old you know nothing. You have no experience and no world wisedom. Come back to me when you know the meaning of love, of loss, of joy and sorrow and can look back upon a life well lived before you can tell me what it all means. Arrogance is the mind that believes it can explain divinity.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” You need to let go of that pain, anger, and loss if you want to see clearly.

The illustration that works much better is Space- Time- Matter. All 3 are equal and separate and serve different purposes while also having the uniquely godlike quality of perfect coexistence. Not one of those things can exist without the other two also being true. All 3 of them together are Reality, but they do not occupy the same role. Space is Reality, but it is not Time Time is Reality, but it is not Matter Matter is Reality, but it is not Space Yet all 3 of them exist simultaneously and work together to make up the fabric of our Created universe.

Nutz! What a FOOL 🙊🙈🙉 “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭AV1611 “knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭AV1611 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭AV1611 “as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭AV1611

Amen; it MEANS that there ARE CHRISTIANS THAT MAKE GOD SICK ☝️🥳📖 “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬-‭19‬ ‭AV1611

Yep, it is probably wise to neither think all scripture is simple to understand nor wise to think it is impossible for man to understand the Bible at all. The Bible comments on both stances. Further clarification: The word perspicuity means “clarity.” To say that something is perspicacious is to say that it is clear. Came about mainly with the Luther and the RCC situation. The Reformers vs Catholics. Scriptural evidence for both stances: Perspicuity… The Bible itself proclaims its own perspicuity. Deuteronomy 6:6-7exhorts parents to teach the Scriptures to their children, indicating that they can be understood by children. And… Paul encourages Timothy to continue in the things he has known of the Holy Scriptures from childhood (2 Timothy 3:14-15a). Psalm 19:7 declares that the “testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple” Also… Psalm 119:130 further explains that God’s Word “gives understanding to the simple,” meaning that it is not necessary to be highly educated to comprehend its truths. Yet… Peter said that Scripture contains “some things that are hard to understand” (2 Peter 3:16). The perspicuity of the Word of God does not eliminate the need for interpretation, explanation, and exposition of the Bible by diligent scholars. Yet also… Finite man can never fully comprehend the infinite. “‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts’” (Isaiah 55:8-9). Impeded by the sin nature, our ability to completely understand all of Scripture won’t be perfected in this life. Yet again… Nor does the doctrine of perspicuity mean that all the meaning of Scripture is fully comprehensible to sinful man. First Corinthians 2:14 says that the things of the Spirit are foolish to the man without the Spirit, and he cannot understand them. It is not that an unsaved person cannot understand what the words of Scripture are saying. Rather, he cannot have a spiritual understanding. So you are correct. According to scripture it would be wise to realize God has made it plain to all concerning many aspects of His word. Yet proper study is also required by the spirit filled believer to understand what is more difficult. We do a disservice to ourselves and to those who may be searching not to consider both in proper application. Study to show yourselves approved.

Yes cross references, some prefaces include information about their cross reference system, personally I like CSB cross references but always use discernment and test the references seeing if its used correctly or taking out of context. And it's nice to supplement with a word for word translation to get more information and make those conclusions with seeing what Hebrew and Greek Aramaic is saying, I specifically use biblegateway for faster comparisons in cross references and textual notes side by side, great video, love to know what cross reference you use! God bless brother
