      Sushi rice is different from sticky rice. It’s more like Jasmine rice

    I was told you can make sticky rice using Thai jasmine rice.. and I've been trying to. 3x in a row I have failed. I went to the Asian grocery store in my area to specifically get a quality Thai jasmine rice. I thought sticky rice WAS jasmine rice?

      Look for sweet rice labels. Also known as sticky rice

      To make jasmine rice sticky you have to use more water than the recommended amount. Works every time.

      I would probably cook the sushi rice like the Jasmine rice with rice cooker. I did not add salt

    Hello I have been cooking Thai sticky rice for over 25 years and I have been cooking my rice the traditional way since I purchased an instant pot I have been having lots of fun cooking my favorite meals exactly the way I like them in just a fraction of the time it used to take.       That’s what I was wondering. By adding the update about the “just one cup” that confused me. She only poured in 2/3 of a cup into the rice. But says you “just” need one cup? It sounds like she’s adding 1/3 to make it one full cup of water into the rice.

      Ive never tried it before so let me know the outcome. Be sure to soak your rice at 1 hr before trying that method.

      It’s called Thip khao. If you lined it with a material such as like cheese cloth or a netted material it can stay soft throughout the day. I believe they now sell Thip khao lining.

    So how many days the papaya can be in fridge after shredded or thats not possible ? Or is better to use half and to fridge it without shredding ??

      I shredded the entire papaya at once. They can last up to 3 weeks or more in the fridge.

      You can also shred the papaya and keep it in an air tight food grade bag (ziploc). Get all the air out and it'll last for a couple of weeks in the fridge.
