The licht auf and laughter is excellent but where is the final shriek at the end of the 2nd scene. Tempo is superb as it is not rushed.

What a pity. Such a good performance but takes those awful cuts at the end of the Klytommestra scene Too bad as it is a good performance.

My favorit opera. And what many don't know is that Elvis Presley was a lover of operamusic too. Two of his number 1 hits were actually rewritten operasongs; "O'sole mio"became "It's now or never", and "Il surrento" became "Surrender" . Pavarotti was a big Elvis fan, he once said "I can't sing as Elvis does, but he can sing as I can" (might not be entirely true, but we get the meaning). And when Kire Te Kanawa was asked which voice she thought were the best she ever heard she surprised the journalist by answering "the early 60' Elvis". I have seen most of the great operastars and also been an Elvis fan since I was 11 in 1985, and I have gotten so much enjoyment from both.

This is a remarkable performance. The orchestra is splendidly conducted, translucent, and radiant. Frankly, I rather like the tenor's heft at times (the character is a tad nutty, right?). I saw this in Munich on December 1st last year, and I think that the conducting is even better here!!

The soprano who plays Violanta is a horror, but the rest of the cast, including the chorus and the conductor, are superb!

Maestro Lano, has proven himself at every level of his artistic integrity. I am fortunate to be singing under his baton this season. This profound clip is a glimpse of his influence and ability with an orchestra.

Wonderful interpretation and music making. So pure, so natural; the music unfolds and flows with clarity and genuine feeling. And the orchestra members are so attuned to each other. Bravo to maestro Lano. No showmanship; just pure and heartfelt music making! Truly refreshing.

This is the BEST Tchaikovsky I ever heard. Such a young, tender age and so much potential and talent. Only 14 and able to do THAT! Such passion, feeling... It's like if she talks and plays every single note with the director and Tchaikovsky is pronouncing it with them. I absolutely loved it and consider it the best Tchaikovsky I have heard in the last 20 years. She definitely needs to be in the right hands and will be of the best violinists; she already is. I saw her play in Berlin Philarmonie in 2015....I was flabbergasted. Bravo!
