Alone is NOT the "chance of a lifetime." The show is a joke! I was contacted to be on Season 1. During the phone "interview" I asked them 2 basic questions. By their answers I knew that they (the production crew) were a joke and complete idiots, and I wanted no part of it. And most of the contestants on the show are complete idiots. There are a few - very few - exceptions to that, but for the most part, complete idiots, and the "boot camp" is another complete joke. Their instructors are morons! The sole premise of 99.999% of the people who participate on that show is to garner their 15 minutes of fame, and the "fans" give them just that.

Useless video. You don't see shit. Doing a video like this needs a close-up of the apparatus , trigger, etc. in detail. You have not learned a thing after watching this video.

Ok, just started the 7 day winter challenge. 4 years late. I'm looking forward to it.

I know, right? 3 years later, I just found this video.

So first off, thanks for suffering for us. Here is what I learned. You should add a couple of things when you are out. 1, a fire steel. 2, a canteen with a nesting cup. Allows you to boil and store water. 3, a silky folding saw to help with processing fire wood. 4. A headlamp to help with getting more firewood in the dark. So, in reality, I believe you should never go in the woods without the ten C's. You can scale it down as much as you need to. All the items should have some sort of representative. Cutting, combustion, cover, container, cordage, compass, canvas sail needle, cotton bandana, candleing (headlamp), cargo tape (gorilla tape). All the items can be as minimal you want. You can probably fit it all on your person. The multi tool is OK, but I would also have a full tang belt knife. But I know that you know this stuff. I got the feeling you are an experienced hunter/woodsman. But there you go. My two cents. Oorah, improvise, adapt, and overcome.

Just found this peg trigger and it is a game changer. Good work on these videos. Here is a request for another trap application as you mentioned. This trap is up a tree or pole. Several good reasons to do that at times. So in example cutting down a smaller but tall dead tree where it can easily be propped back up after a trap is set toward the top of the tree for birds and tree critters. My best trap currently requires using a scotch eye hand auger and there is a lot of room for improvement. I am thinking of making a version of your Rodent Smasher2 on a knocked out plank utilizing the auger. Should be a totally portable trap that will last for years. Cheers!

Mine is a landscape tractor a 1210 if you are familiar…Japanese made only that one year. Anyway it starts everyday like when it was a youngster. What kind of Ford you got there??
