Will My 1987 Suzuki Quadracer LT250R Start????
My LT250R has not run in 2 years. The recent owner stopped driving it after it started to leak coolant between the cylinder head and jug. I started off first by filling it with coolant since it was dry. I also added oil to the case because I wasn't sure if that had oil in it either. I am going to drain and fill all the fluids on the bike the proper way. Surprisingly the bike started right up! I was extremely happy with that. It did leak coolant exactly where he said. The coolant issue could be several things. Improper torque, bad gasket, cracked head or Jug. Guess we will find out! Please leave me a comment on what you think! We Finally got the wheel and tire set up on the Dakota and it looks so good! We did a 17x7 spiked jegs wheel up front. We wrapped that with a 235/60R17 GT Radial. We did a 15x8 Rear Spiked jegs wheel. Rear we wrapped it with a 275/60R15 Mickey Thompson et street S/S. I also bought a Hub centric, or hub ring off of eBay for cheap. I Finally painted my Cylinder heads! After I soaked them in my Simple Green Extreme solution, I scuffed them dry with a red Scotch pad. After I did that, I blew the dust off and cleaned them with wax and grease remover. I put my first coat of primer on nice and light followed by two more heavier coats. We recently had a customer come in with a 13 Ram with a 5.7L Hemi come in. The truck was barely running, and we found no compression in one of the cylinders. The customer did not want to dive into the engine problem since the engine already had high mileage. We ended up putting a used engine in his truck and he let me take his old one. I have a 87. Best year to have. It’s the first year with the power valve and only year of the big intake. The thing is a beast.
Cant wait to find out after I fix all these issues lol definitely going to be a project for sure. Hope the bottom ends okay since 87 is a pain to get parts for.

Sounds like it has some rod knock and needs a good clearing out. Other than that it runs and that's good at least. The way the coolant leaks out is making me think the head will most likely need some resurfacing hope it's not cracked or has previous damage from blowing up in the past.
I agree! I definitely heard a noise on the first start. It did clear itself out after it was running for a few. Could've been a little dry as well from sitting. We will find out more when I remove the head this weekend. I appreciate your feedback!

I have a 97 banshee and I’m having a hard time tuning my carbs . I’ve cleaned both carbs & jets she starts in one kick but sometimes she bogs out … can you recommend how to tune ?? The TORS are removed she runs good but after a while she starts to bog out .. any help would be appreciated @G-Money Raceyi
Hey man when you pulled the white roller off the swingarm did you have to remove anything else or the chain slider went right on at that point. doing same install noticed there is a silver piece on swingarm hoping i can leave it so i dont have to remove swingarm

Is a bottom chain roller a must?
You want to keep all the stock compnents there. You can upgrade every roller and slide. I also have a video on that. Those rollers are there to keep the chain were it needs to be.

What about filling the reservoir? Do you have to fill it to the top every time it gets low
The reservoir just fill to the full line, you shouldnt have to keep filling it after that

Sounds amazing dude, need a little help , i just got my banshee and i am new to it. I want to ask you about the premix ratio of petrol and oil, and can you please tell me that in liters, like 1 litre oil in how much liters petrol i should mix. I bought yamaha lube .
It should have the mixing ratio on the back of the bottle. I use amsoil dominator 2 stroke oil mix

You can do that if you want too.

@@g-moneyracing127 I got my banshee built and dude put water in my radiator and I think mine was starting to overheat at 20 min idle
@@jcproductions89 you habe to put the 50/50 mix in before you start it. You should see the coolant moving a little bit. It couldve been air bound. If you let it sit over night it should fix bleed it self out unless thats not the issue
