Proverbs 17:17 "A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in a time of need." I think was one of my favorite verses for today's reads because the bible is literally giving you the perfect definition of what a true friend is and why it's important to have those kinds of relationships around. That verse to me also kind of relates to having that faith based community.

I waa just thinking about how the Trinity worked before you said it. I imagined who God was in the Old Testament, the life of Jesus in the New Testament and the workings of the Holy Spirit through the disciples after the gospel chapters. Thank y'all so much. I learnt a lot 🇳🇬

“Those who mock the poor insult their Maker; those who rejoice at the misfortune of others will be punished.” - Proverbs‬ ‭17‬:‭5‬ If we don’t help to the poor as we would give to our brother, we would be doing a wrong.

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.” - Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ Amen 🙏

Personally, i felt like verse 9 was shouting at me, I had to forgive some people in my life recently and I’ve realized that holding onto that anger or disappointment or whatever that feeling is when you are hurt was actually hurting me in the long run 💯

Pv 17:24 sensiable people keep their eyes on wisdom but fools wanders eyes to the earth that really puts fire in me to keep my eyes on the lord and what he has for me instead of being distracted and caught up with worldly things that have no benefit for my life

One thing you said was to always have Jesus at the center of your conversation, especially if you have a short temper or you react and blow up. I think about how important knowing he’s in the middle of our conversation is. We wouldn’t want to argue in his face, and I think that’s an eye opener for me to be mindful of the way I speak because if he is at the center he can always intervene!!

I was casually listening and trying to keep my brain and spirit active with these men's words. Then I heard Clarence say the phrase "worshiping (the person's) downfalls." My heart was hit harder than my head or spirit could have been. I paused and thought "I worshiped my ex boyfriend's downfalls just as much as I worshiped his good qualities... and really I would have been happier worshiping my God and Savior." I was focusing on a person and giving him my all even though Christ Jesus had given me HIS all! Repenting now and onward, this changed something in me. Worship God, everyone.
