If you have manual A/c controls you have to pop the control knobs off and remove the 2 Phillips head screws if not you will beak things when you pull on the face plate to remove

Very good vid as was only after the small console on top of the dash, and also thanks for mentioning the 10 mm bolt. I thought it was holding the radio in, and as I didn't need the radio you still need to take that security bolt out to access all the other stuff.

is there a way to play a car radio without putting it in the car? have an old neon car radio with a cassette player that was taken out of a work car back in 2001 I think to install a car phone. dont have the car anymore just the radio cassette player was wondering if I could somehow play it at home if I get some cassettes, guess I would need a power and a speaker cables to hook up somehow

Don’t have to remove the whole transmission. Making the job a thousand times harder. You just take off the few bolts that hold the clutch in

This was way more difficult than imagined , the stiff line attached to the outer nut was in the way and couldn’t get filter in and out with out crazy hand strength But I also have added aftermarket cooler which ran its lines thru this area.

My oil drain was a 16mm

Guys if you have a 2005 i you may need to take off the ac buttons and you'll find 2 screws holding the whole thing. I was frustrated cause his came off easy while mime looked like you could tow the whole car from the radio alone.

I don’t think you mentioned putting a jack under the door to hold it up while you change out the hinge, but that was key for me. Also, I had a tricky time getting the cables out and back into the hinge by myself, so I had someone else help me pop them out and back in while I held the hinge. Thanks for the video!

Not Just another Mechanic. My TL almost broke down and you gave me the courage to try to fix it on my own. I has hard time with the 3rd screwl. it wore out and would not grab. After taking out most parts around the filter I got enough space to use a pressure plier to get that sucker out. Felt great after I got it done. Many many thanks for all the details that mattered. You help this gut out big time.

shouldn't get alot of transmission oil coming out of there .. don't really need to drain all your fluid to do that but makes sense to if you're going to put a new filter might as well put new transmission fluid

Great video, I learned a bunch, thanks! It's been a year now since you made this video. How was the car behaving after the additive that you put in? I am a complete newb when it comes to taking care of my car so I try to find everything I can. One thing that I've come across is that additives are bad. Recently had my car serviced for a Blinking D light. Cost a bunch. They replaced the 3rd gear pressure switch and changed the transmission fluid (it was dark after 15k miles? Hmm)... any other stuff I should know?
