Mike and I spent three days doing multi-pitch climbs at Smith Rock. First Kiss, Voyage of the Cowdog, Dirty Pinkos, and others. Such a fun place to climb, with really solid rock, sunny weather, and fantastic views. Here are some video highlights. This is the first video I've ever made in portrait. Mike keeps telling me to put these on the Gram, maybe someday I will.

This year we created an entire candy village, complete with church, houses, wishing well, walking paths, forest, and town square with Christmas tree. In true modern-day Christmas spirit, a couple of the houses have Amazon packages waiting on the front porch!

Always wanted to see what it was like to camp out in six feet of snow. Finally made it happen this week. What an incredible night on the mountain, a winter wonderland under a clear sky full of stars. Next morning we were right on the doorstep of Mount Hood Meadows ski resort, where we had an epic day with perfect conditions. Here's some video highlights.

Two-day climb to the summit of Broken Top (9,177'). What a great mountaineering adventure! A relatively short approach, absolutely beautiful ridge climb to the summit block, and just enough of a thrill at the top to get your heart pounding with a short class 5 technical climb. We camped at Green Lakes and had a glorious late afternoon swim in the shadow of South Sister. Fantastic.

This is what it's like to go to Burning Man. An incredible round-the-clock spectacle of creativity, energy, imagination, and human connection. Life changing, spectacular, every other superlative you can think of. Nearly 70,000 people from all over the world converged in the Nevada desert to build Black Rock City, a place where everyone is welcome and the only mission is to truly feel alive.

Team Cannonball Run completes the Hood to Coast relay, August 2024. The race starts at Mount Hood and continues nearly 200 miles to the Oregon Coast. Bill and Deb backpack in to Jefferson Park, a high alpine paradise of tumbling brooks, wildflower meadows, crystal blue lakes, and of course Mt. Jefferson towering above it all. Memorial Day ascent of Mount Hood (11,249'). Bill, Mike, and Kelvin reach the summit via a technical snow climb through the narrow 50-degree Mazama Chute. Epic 4,000' ski descent.

Winter weekend for me and Kelvin at Diamond Lake, 5,000 feet up in the Oregon Cascades. Several feet of fresh powder, so fun to play in.

Thought it would be fun to take a welding class at the local community college. It's been a blast. Cutting holes in half-inch thick steel plate with a cutting torch. Using a track torch to cut out metal shapes, then welding them together at various angles. What a great time.

An incredible spectacle in the Black Rock Desert, where 70,000 people gather for a weeklong celebration of music, art, creativity, and friendship. Yes there was rain, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of this spirited group of personalities from all over the globe. Wow what an event!

This is what it's like to do the class 3-4 rock scramble up Del Campo Peak (6,610') and Gothic Peak (6,213') in the Washington Cascades. 2-Day backpack to Gothic Basin, Foggy Lake. Lots of Sooty Grouse, Hoary Marmot in the area.
