Hi, Sorry for delayed reply, please watch the video again carefully, the total length of the curve is 360 M not 180 M, N (Caps) = 360 / 20 = 18 Chains Mid point = (360/2 = 180M) n (small) = 180 / 20 = 9 chains

Sir, Why (R+S) in tangent length?
Tangent length = Radius x tan Delta/2 Here the original Radius is Shifted towards the inner up to "S" distance, that is shift distance, so to get the accurate Tangent length, we need the total length of the final radius for calculations; that is (R + S). Here, R is radius of shifted circular Curve.
Finding the radius by using apex is the approximate indicative radius. after adding the transition curve, there is a shift due to transition. so finally the Radius of the original circular curve becomes = R + S
