There was another version of the 1st Resident Evil. It was the long box art in a regular cd case. That’s the version I had. Pretty much when Sony decided to stop with the long boxes they released RE in the new cd jewel cases, then after was the directors cut and then greatest hits version

When I was a kid (like 20 years ago) I thought these games would just be forgotten as new games and consoles were coming out, but I see younger people getting into these ps1 gems even if it's not nostalgic for them. I hope the old RE games never die, they're very unique pieces of work.

I LOVE that you said Caliban cove is terrible.. because that’s exactly what I thought.. I’m halfway through it.. and I’ve been halfway though it for a LONG TIME.. I can’t muster up the stamina to finish it.. but I will one day.. or maybe I’ll have my child do it for me.. it’s just bad writing all around..
