Schwerer Gustav was and is basically just a gimmick with minimal practical application over other artillery pieces. However it goes to show, I'm pretty confident that there is no mistake bigger than assuming mankind will ever stop making bigger guns. I don't care if some hyper advanced alien race shows up, we'll just build a comically oversized glock and magdump them from ground to orbit
