Oh my goodness, so glad to find your channel! So excited to see more!
girl do you have a production team ??? this is so well done !
Are you a film maker? Because this video sounds like intro to a movie
Since I have discovered this term, man's cave, I thought it was sooooooo annoying and problematic. Every time I hear this term, I ask myself "what about the woman? Shouldn't she also be able to have a place to rest and entertain?" I loved your idea, but the place you choose made me make a link with the sad fact that lots of women (including me) use the bathroom time to rest, to take a breath etc. Once I heard someone saying that who thinks a lot about the bathroom and puts a lot of effort to make it not just useful, but comfortable and cosy too, is cheesy. Curiously, I thought about this yesterday at the bathroom 😅 and I came to the conclusion that this person isn't aware about this question. So, I'm happy for you finding a place to be alone, but I'm kind of sorry that this room is in the bathroom. I loved your video ❤
I believe the 'man cave' primarily came from mens inability to take part in designing the home - or being pushed aside by their significant other - and therefor needing a space where they can do their own interior design, without judgement. But it's also more common for men to ponder and need time to think for themselves, whereas women usually talk with their friends instead. It's basically the hunter vs nurturer instincts, meaning as a hunter you had to be quiet and often be alone, and as a nurturer you would always have others around you to talk with. However, I think it's healthy for everyone to have a space to call their own, especially when sharing a home with others. As kids we grew up having our own room, where we were free to do whatever we wanted, and I don't think the need for that private space goes away just become we become adults. In fact I believe it becomes even more important.
W😍W👌🏼!!! That room is BEAUTIFUL 💕 I opened UA-cam because I’m in the process of re-creating my home! I have a spare room I want to do something with but my mind is also empty of ideas? Your video was in my feed so I clicked on it! You’re an inspiration, I feel more positive but still empty of ideas 😂💡❔It’s a big room. The desk you made is Beautiful, everything is Beautiful 👌🏼😍👌🏼 🌷🌷🌷 I Subscribed 🌷☺️ Thank you for the very nice video and well created as well! 💁🏻♀️Your so talented 🌷🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
1:55 Glad to know I’m not the only one that gets trampled as my dogs wrestle 😂
Fabulous video and project, thank you for sharing! Excellent cinematography, I’ve subscribed, looking forward to seeing more of your long form videos!
you are so talented! it feels like i am watching a movie
Oh dear, you poor thing, your life is so tough.
Your storytelling is impeccable
Instantly subscribed OF COURSE!!! This was so well done, so beautiful, everything about it!! You’re so kind and sweet, im a fan of your energy and your skill?!? That DESK?!? Its so professional!!! Im so excited to see what else your channel brings :)
I thought you would make it a little loungy-er.
Omg what! Subscribed!!
that desk is INCREDIBLE!! excited to see what else you share :)
I just realize. When we had a dog, her dog bed was her ultimate "cave" zone. Us children were not allowed to bother her there, or call her away from there without reason. Giving her that space where she knew she wouldn't be bothered pretty sure was one aspect as to why she was such a relaxed dog around us kids. Oh to have my dog's life.
omg i felt like i knew the words you'd say ahead of them sounding in this video. so relatable. thank you
Thank you for the book stand inspo! Now I can have my bible on display as a daily reminder & always ready! ❤️✨
Wow. Random video popped up on my feed. So well filmed and edited. Loving the comments section about how it’s crazy that this is only your second! Hope you’ll give us more content!
ladies dreaming about skincare products and here we are, other ladies dreaming about woodworking and tools and building spaces. greatttt
It’s nice but I have to ask - why a desk instead of a chaise longe, armchair or daybed? I love to read but reading at a desk seems a little uncomfortable
um, woman cave (and interest in it) is very common on the internet. one could say it is one of the pillars of the internet
How did you learn all these great reno skills? I want to try to as a female
The idea of “a room of one’s own” for women is not new. Being alone and uninterrupted is a precious resource. Love how you built your space. ❤️
Beautifully done!
gorgeous video and so inspiring <3
Wow this video is so excellent!!
Wow I get jealous of your workshop and all the nice tools!
HOW is this your first video, this is literally a short film masterpiece????
The inverse of the man cave is the "she shed" which is often related to a craft or hobby
As a golden retriever parent I can say there's always floating dog hair.
That room is a work of art. Absolutely fabulous.
Isn't it just a little reading nook?
I was very touched by your words, which could very well have come out of my mouth, so hello from a fellow human in her 30's with a passionless yet too demanding 9-5, figuring out peace and contentment in just being. Yeah, 30 seconds are nowhere enough, so looking forward to whatever you're inspired to share here. Now I'll go search for that book over there... :)
Hi your videos are awesome! From the DIYs to the cinematography to the editing everything is so calming and creating. Just one quick suggestion the song in the background is noisy and it makes it difficult to hear your voice over it. Other than that everything is perfect! Can't wait to see more videos from you ❤
Omg this is so good! Cinematic meets DIY! <3 I'm in love. Can't wait to see what else you produce!
That's great, happy for you!
this whole video and your narration on the importance of personal space reminds me of Virginia Woolf's "A Room of One's Own"
Just wow! Beautiful video, and I really admire how you just did everything yourself, so much work! And everything looked also very nice. Respect ❤
I would like to be you when I grow up. Ignore that I’m already 23….
Like your song at end
Sua mesa ficou linda. Parabéns <3
Loveee this.
