Really nice! Im trying to find a better term than woman cave. Maybe she-space? Everyone is unique and has their own whishes for their own space, but I feel that the word cave suits man-needs better. Like they can be cave men there, a place where they dont need to be careful. Caves sound like they are made of stone and nothing will break while you do you. Women are more likely to want a peaceful haven, light and softness. That does not sound cave-like. And i think the shared aspect is that humans regardles of gender like the room for a specific activity. Hobby stuff ready to use. The open book on this desk. Inviting you to take some you time. "A room for ones own" coined by Woolf covers the meaning I want, but "mancave" sounds more fun, its short and rolls of the tongue with middle-rhyme. Woman cave sounds a bit like a V.J. I usually say "my room" or plant room, and my husband has "his room" or game room. And then i feel the need to explain that we share a bedroom. And express my gratefulness for the luxury of having so many rooms, and no children, so we could keep the rooms for ourselves. But what word would be best to replace womancave? I think she-space is an acceptable phrase, better than womancave or room for ones own, but maybe someone else finds the perfect phrase? Should I apologise for long posts or are they great for the algorithm? I have autism and i like finding the right words to express specific meaning. Language stays visible for me, something i always keep reflecting on, always knowing its a translation from the exact thing in my head that im trying to express. Sometimes its like a hobby, like in this case. Sometimes its exhausting. Its also why I use so much words for a comment. Thanks, bye.
