Stop using hammers all the time. I see it used on bearings, bearing suspended shafts and lockouts all the time in videos made in eastern countries. Ditch he fckn hammer when doing work on fine mechanics ffs. It is unprofessional, brute-force way of doing work. Warm bead of causing bearing race damage, shearing small parts and making tools slip off, creating undesirable outcomes. I rebuilt multiple High RPM milling an grinding spindles with super-precision bearings involved with great success, never used a hammer to tighten anything nor to loosen anything. rubber mallet to give things a gentle shake sometimes.
