Dr. Kerry, or "someone" who may know. I was hoping this talk would talk about the connection with the brain and dry eye symptoms. It seems this focused primarily on vision. I've had ptsd, emotional neglect and abuse growing up. I'm now 34, and have severe dry eye, but I also have a nervous system that is disregulated. I understand it may be more neurological/psychological that causes dry eye symptoms. Some days my eyes are clear and look great, other days not so much. I often have anxiety and my eyes look bad in those moments. I now use serum tears which help a lot, but I think that my problem is at the root neurological. Can you please speak to what connection there is with dry eye and brain chemistry.. (ie trauma). & How do you correct your nervous system to heal the eyes, if possible? Does anyone have this similar condition? Dry eye and emotional disregulation from ptsd?
Is fasting one or 2 days on ddw more beneficial than drinking it while eating as well?
😊
Very interesting discussion. I am going to consider this for myself and I am sending the podcast to my brother with type 1 diabetes. Thanks Dr. Kerry.
Very informative! Well done ❤
Watching several Dr. Sandison's UA-cam interviews, reading her book and other leading researchers' books (Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, Casey Means, Wendy Suzuki), I strongly believe that physical exercise (stressing skeletal muscles) is the most important aspect of our cognitive health and all other health. However, the physical exercises need to bring one's heart rate up and stimulate muscle synthesis. So many assisted living facilities let residents sit on a chair too long. When they are not on a chair, they are sleeping on a bed. There is no opportunity to use/stress/rebuild skeletal muscles. Those residents need to sit on floor and get off floor throughout day to rebuild usable skeletal muscles.
👍👍👍
🎉
Great podcast as usual Dr Kerry. Dr Heather was very informative
Thank you!
I ordered Chris' book about seed oils. It is interesting that the premise is the correlation between the rise in seed oil use and the rise in chronic disease. The biggest adherents to objecting to seed oils are the very ones who constantly are saying, "Correlation does not equal causation". That is correct, correlation does not equal causation, but that is exactly what this is. I'm not saying Chris is wrong, just that it is based on a correlation.
Dr Hindman is as experienced as anyone I know in the presbyopia arena. Very well done and looking forward to trying the LENZ product myself!!
❤
Great information.
Namaste Dr kerry its dinesh from Bhaktapur Nepal i m watch this episode ,
1 person i know developed parkinson after vaccines to go to Thailand.
Arthritis can be a sign of B1 deficiency. It is unstable, so it gets consumed quickly with being sick, stress, operations, like so many vitamins... Good luck.
Macular degeneration Podcasts
Dr Rosa, I am not overweight, have a normal BMI and have been intermittent fasting to try to remove love handles and belly fat. I have lost 5 pounds so I am now underweight but have not lost significant visceral fat. Why would that be?
Preach Rev Frank! Love your view on life
Thanks Dr. Gelb for having Dr. Richer on years ago . . . indeed a true hero. At the end you mentioned the work of Dr. Jack Kruse. He is a bit eccentric but definitely worth listening to. Please have him on if you can!
Thanks Dr. Rosa for explaining @ 10:48 about how excess carbohydrate increases the size and number of our fat cells. Not just a cosmetic problem, visceral fat triggers nearby immune cells to release a body-wide cascade of inflammatory substances (which leads to every form of disease). Thanks Dr. Gelb for having this great guest on your podcast. Perhaps you could have Dr. Sean O'Mara on next. He lectures extensively on visceral fat. Thanks!

Wonderful clinical information provided by one of the true greats in eye care, Dr. Odrich! Congratulations! Dr. Gelb wonderful interview
Great info that you shared Dr. Hom and Dr. Gelb thank you!
I Lo ill
Dr. Rosa if someone is a senior and they have normal homocysteine, CRP and fasting insulin but they have excess fat on their stomach and love handles with a normal BMI is that still indicative of an overall unhealthy situation.
Yes. It might be excessive visceral fat. Definitely a good reason to get an abdominal mri without contrast.
Thank you so much!
Dexa scans and smart scale can also measure visceral fat. How accurate are they compared to MRI?
They are difficult to compare. As they do a measurement of the whole fat, muscles, bones and level of hydration together. MRI is a visual method. That allows to quantify and anatomically discriminate the fat in the body. And engage the client senses better than numbers only. Hope this helps. 🙏🏻
What's the best exercise to get rid of visceral fat?
Part 2 will be released next Monday. We cover the best exercise to decrease visceral fat
Dr. Gelb and Dr. Rosa explored an eye opening area of health! Their information made a great deal of sense in a practical way and I will be incorporating Dr. Rosa’s recommendations. Thank you for providing medical information that is directly applicable to our daily and longterm health!!
Amazing and informative as always!
Love dr Rosa’s humble approach she reinforces how dangerous visceral is and Dr Gelb lets her speak asks well informed questions…This is Dr Rosa at her best can’t wait for part2
Good advice. Not always easy to follow. Someone invent healthy, synthetic carbs.
This is excellent information. Everyone should hear this.
Yet another amazing podcast!
