yeah, that's YT, not me. Not my choice, sadly. I think they want people to pay for premium with no ads. That said, it's true that any experience that comes up in meditation (or otherwise) can be a valuable mindfulness practice in itself. The jarring interruption happens, and you can simply be aware of the thoughts and emotions that come up as a reaction to that (frustration, annoyance, etc.). Anyway, thanks for being here!

I think you should acknowledge Dr. Russ Harris, who has offered the leaves on a stream exercise since 2012. This is a copy practically accurate right to the time stamps. i’m not talking down to you, I think he should get partial credit

You may want to select the option for no commercials during your meditation, it’s very disruptive I’m only halfway through and twice I’ve been interrupted with commercials

Emotional first aid I love that because the emotions always seem to override the intellect no matter how much you read self-help your emotions can sneak up and you need that sense of common yumanity to get away from self-pity and into self-compassion...

Thank you, this is so far best meditation session for observing thoughts that I have run into. My mind always kept telling me to get away from thoughts when I did "leaves on stream" practice and I got frustrated about that. Now I can place thought top and on a leaf and let it be! No need to force the stream to take it away, just curiously observing it, not labeling them as a "bad" or "good".
