Third Wind 中間部 パットのソロが終わり、アーマンドとライルのコール＆レスポンスから、シンセが執拗に繰り返すフレーズと共に、バンドが一体となって登り詰め爆発的カタストロフに至るところ。ELPの組曲“運命の三人の女神“ラスト一分間に似ている。ライルメイズはキースエマーソンを聴いていたのかもしれません。

戦後に、家庭がだんだんと関係が薄くなっていくことを予言した小津安二郎監督。美しいけれども、物悲しい気持ちになることが心苦しくて、みられない時もあります。 それでも美しいのは、女優を綺麗に撮っただけでなく、美しい言葉違いが全篇に行き渡っていること。こんな美しい言葉遣いをする人々が日本人だったことを、今の粗雑な言葉を操る現代日本人にしっかりと見て欲しい。文化伝承も、映画の役割だと思います。

Is this before ‘Secret stories’ tour. I’m not familiar with Pat metheny other than Witchita Falls 81? Wore out the cassette, Somehow’Witchita Falls’ ended up in my drawer of cassettes long ago.
