After sitting for six weeks, my '96 KZ1000P started and idled very nicely.
1996 Kawasaki KZ1000P Police for Sale

Mileage: 29,xxx miles Price: $4,500 I recently purchased this Kawasaki KZ1000P police motorcycle and refurbished it after it sat in Florida for a long time. The seller believes that it was used by a department in or near St. Louis, but he could not find the paperwork that came with it. After a meticulous rebuild of the carburetors to ensure that the engine would run and was healthy, I installed...

After adjusting the mixture screws to 1 1/4 turns out, it's idling better than during the initial startup.

First start after taking in this 1996 Kawasaki KZ1000P Police motorcycle. The idle is hanging so there is some tuning to do, but this started up more easily than any old bike I've ever worked on. Once I confirm it's running well, I'll pursue the cosmetics.

This is my 1976 Honda GL1000 Goldwing that I spent over a year restoring. The body and frame were professionally painted, and the motorcycle was painstakingly reassembled by yours truly. It has roughly 7,700 miles on it, and it runs and rides like a dream.

This was a yearlong frame off restoration that I have finally completed. It will be listed for sale in the near future - I just have too many motorcycles and not enough space to keep them all.

Rebuilding a front brake caliper from a 1996 Kawasaki KZ1000P Police motorcycle. I do this for fun and am not a professional so please consult your service manual or dealer if doing this work yourself.

Assembling the #4 Mikuni carburetor from my 1996 Kawasaki KZ1000P police motorcycle. I am not a professional. I do this for fun, so please don't take this video as being the "correct" method to do this. I'll go back and set the float height on all four of them later. #kz1000 #kawasaki #motorcycle #mechanic #asmr #carburetor #mikuni #police #rebuild #mechanical

Great. Where did you buy this lights? Online?
www.cyclopsadventuresports.com
I had a green 76 and still have a 78 that im hoping to restore. Awesome bike. Want to trade for a 2012 concours?
Beautiful job.
What a beauty. So much nicer than the plastic enveloped monstrosity of today.
Excellent conducteur
I put an aftermarket switch in mine , it felt like it was grinding inside , the bottom of the switch wanted to fall off , it was rubbish .
Curious did you sell this yet?
Yes, this has sold. Thanks.
Paint looks great , very nice .
Nickel, quelle belle moto😊
ناز نفست عشق من
Awesome! 👏👏👏👏
I bought a new 1976 Goldwing , first one in our county, rode it to east coast and west coast,.. very reliable cycle. Wish they still made it. My Valkyrie is a lot heavier, and more complicated. Like simple.
I want to buy this bike
She is mint👍🏻
Do compression test, sounds like you have an inlet valve not seating properly and its back firing into the carb, also accounts for rough idle
Turns out I had ignition coil issues along with a defective #3 carburetor. New coils and a replacement carb body resolved all my running issues.
If you still own it, let me know if you are accepting offers.
Thanks for the interest but it has been sold. I'm hoping to buy it back someday - I regret selling this one!
What an amazing restore, reading through the adv thread now!
Did you happen to get the answer ? Was it valve clearance?
This issue really fought me for a long time. I ended up installing a Dyna electronic ignition and new ignition coils/wires/caps. That helped with the backfiring, however it still wouldn't run just right. The #3 intake tube was forming condensation when running on choke and I never could find any issue with the carb or valves or timing. A Goldwing carb expert that I went to thinks there was an internal crack in the carb casting. In the end he replaced the #3 carb body and it ran perfectly.
I have a 1978 im fixing to make ride worthy again
I miss the sound of that engine, i had a 1977 that i wished i never sold. Best bike i ever owned.
Wow how shity can u be
I am almost 62yrs. Old and remember well when these first came out . I didn't think much about them at the time . Then the factory started dressing up and i hated the looks of them. But as i got older i seen the older ones naked and like the looks of them . Now i would be glad to find one of the first ones. Great looking Bike .
Is it still available
I'm sorry, but it was sold shortly after making the video. I hope to buy it back someday, however!
I just found your channel due to watching the video on the yellow 1976 Goldwing. I have 2 I am restoring and I was wondering where you got parts for it. Thanks for any information you can share on this.
For my Goldwing projects, I used a variety of websites, including partzilla.com, randakks.com, saber-cycle.com, davidsilverspares.com, and of course ebay.com
Would have preferred to see the prep sequence prior to the bike running
I'm not the best videographer but I take photos of my restorations and document them the best I can. If you're interested you can view the restoration thread here: www.advrider.com/f/threads/putting-a-sulfur-yellow-76-gl1000-back-on-the-road.1485202/
Would have been nice to show how it was done😂

Superbe😮
Do you have a video of the install?
Unfortunately, I do not. The install was simple, with the trickiest part being getting the wires through the handlebar since they are internally routed. Once you have them through, you just match up the wire colors with those in the harness behind the left shelter.
I’m going to have to replace my whole wiring harness because it’s been butchered
Looks and sounds great, makes me want to buy it back
Starter sounds just like my 2013 f6b gl1800 GOLDEN WING 😂
where are you located?
Westmont, IL. Near Chicago
Elle est très belle
I saw this for sale on ADVRider. Love it. GLWS
That's a serious machine, what year is it?
1996
How much
Thanks for asking. I am looking for $4,500
What are you asking for it???

Very nice job on the restoration!
Very nice.
Very cool bike!
Glws ! Looks very nice!
Looks great!
Für mich Erinnerung an meine Zeit in Deutschland mit dieser Wing. Allerdings in gelb. Auch hier der Sound so sanft im Laufverhalten, trotzdem Kraft und Durchzug, beinahe wie ein Elektromotor. Kein Lärm, kein Kreischen, aber man war König auf der Straße. Ein Meilenstein damals !
where do i can find the seat ?
tail light flashes too - it the signal that the immobiliser has triggered
This video is actually "POINT"less because you didn't show how to adjust them. 🖕
Very nice. Simplicity is vrtuous.
Nice work Britt, good to see it running again. I subscribed to keep up with it Ken

How you sync 4 carb equally?
did you found the problem ? i have the same one
bump... I have the same problem... sometimes even worst, revs are hanging around 4k for 20sec now and wont go down. It started after the motorbike was parked in a garage for 2 months... It looks like air leak but I've tested probably everything I could.
