We love to travel, especially in our tiny trailer, which we've affectionately dubbed the "Love Shack". During our travels, we enjoy exploring new places while enjoying amazing local and regional food, which we’ll share on this blog as well this UA-cam Channel.
Rolling Love Shack Adventures was born out of our love for travel, food, and exploration and it’s our desire to share our adventures with you in the hope that you'll be inspired to find adventures of your own.

In October we had the opportunity to attend the Homesteaders of America conference at the Warren County Fair Grounds in Front Royal, Virginia. The Homesteaders of America is an organization that brings together like minded individuals who want to live a simpler and more sustainable life. Day one of the conference was a beautiful day and we enjoyed listening to speakers like Cassandra Daniel ( @...

In September we attended the fifth annual Eastern Hiker Trailer Campout (HTC-E5) at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park in Burkesville, Kentucky. Over 200 Hiker owners showed off 95 rigs during the three-day event. It was a great opportunity to see the modifications and personalization that make each trailer unique. We're grateful to our hosts Matt and Wendy Dewitt of MDWAdventures on UA-cam and...

We spent a few days camping at one of our favorite local camping spots in the Forbes State Forest in Pennsylvania not far from our home. Forbes State Forest has six primitive campsites dispersed throughout the forest. These sites can be reserved 11 months in advance for a maximum stay of 7 days. You can find more information on the PA DCNR website; www.dcnr.pa.gov/StateForests/FindAForest/Forbe...

One of our favorite places to camp is the Stonecoal Dispersed Camping Area located on Forest Road 209 in the Monongalia National Forest in West Virginia. Stonecoal features 19 dispersed semi-private campsites along the uppers Shavers Fork of the Cheat River, which is a popular trout fishing destination. Since it is located within the National Radio Quite Zone, Stonecoal is the perfect spot to g...
Buc-ee's. It's Yummy!
Переглядів 94Рік тому
Earlier this spring we got to check an item off our bucket list when we visited Buc-ee's in Florence, South Carolina. Needless to say, it's definitely worth a stop if you ever find yourself in the vicinity of a Buc-ee's. Besides an abundance of Buc-ee's gear and other merchandise, the gas and food are the main reasons to stop. The food certainly lives up to the hype. The beef brisket IS "yummy"...
The Best Place to Stay when Visiting Amish Country in Walnut Creek, Ohio
Переглядів 4,1 тис.Рік тому
We made a weekend trip to Walnut Creek, Ohio to tour the area and pick up a piece of furniture we ordered from Scenic Hills Furniture. We spent the weekend at the Oakridge Inn, our favorite place to stay in Amish Country. During our stay, we visited several local businesses such as the Der Dutchman Restaurant, Troyer's Trail Bologna, Lehman's Hardware, Winesburg Meats, Heini's Cheese Chalet, Ke...

Great video
Great video! Keep Up the great work. Hope to meet ya guys at the hiker meet up in WV!
Not sure if you know but there’s about 7 minutes of dead air at the end of the video. Thanks for posting. Hopefully we’ll see you at HTC-E6 in September.
Thanks for letting me know. I thought I had fixed that. See you in September. Thanks for watching.
God’s country for sure! The Monongahela National Forest is beautiful. I have backpacked a Tea Creek loop for several days. It’s an amazing wilderness. Nice video.
Great Video! We had such a great time at the camp out.
Awesome video! I didn’t realize you guys had a channel until we saw Matt and Wendy’s 3rd Hiker tour video. We met you at HTCE5. Our Hiker was the bright blue named Mitty. We also stopped at Buc-ees on the way down and back. We will see you again at HTCE6. We’ll be in 182.😊Brian and Cathy
Hi Cathy. I remember you. We had a nice chat during your trailer tour. Thanks for subscribing. Looking forward to seeing you at HTCE6. We'll be at site 193. Lisa and Kevin
When are you comming to Morgantown WV with your love shack?
I enjoyed your video. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope to see more videos.
Thank you so much!
Good job, we are new hiker owners (1 month) and enjoy watching all the hiker trailer video’s. We have reservations for HTC-E6 in your beautiful state of WV in September 2024. We look forward to seeing all the gang together. By the way, it’s state law that you have to stop at Buccees in Richmond exit 83 when you’re traveling up or down I-75. 😂
Congrats on the new Hiker and thanks for watching. Look forward to meeting you at HTC-E6. That's definitely one state law I'll never be in violation of. 😂
Man that looks like a great trip. That brisket looked REALLY GOOD - well everything you guys ended up eating looking pretty good!!! Those pop-up fire pits sure are nice. I didn't get to use mine for a LONG time because of all the fire bans we've had out here over the last couple of years. How in the world does a pizza place run out of pizza! LOL. Your teardrop is really nice - being able to set up a base camp and not have to worry about tearing down to go check out the sights! Nice video!
It was nice to meet you today
Nice meeting you as well Chris. Thanks for visiting our channel. Hope to see you at another Hiker campout.
I was at Tea Creek Campground right around the same time last year, enjoyed your vid
😂 you recorded driving past my campsite, fortunately my truck + mess wasn't there at the time. Headed back same time this year, catch you on the flipside.
wow that is an adventure in itself..looks like a lot of fun..thx marie from canada..i also liked your ohio amish country trip...that my fav place to visit
Great video…headed out there in a few weeks. Thank you 😊
Have a good time.
Awesome family memories camping and fishing the Williams, tea creek and all over West Virginia, thanks for sharing
Is there beach access from the campground here?
Thanks for asking. There is no beach access from the campground. The reserve is on the intercoastal waterway so you'll likely have to drive north to Myrtle or south to Charleston for beach access.
What are sum good sites I have a 30, feet camper .how picky are they on beer thanks peace be with you
Hi, Brian. Thanks for watching. I've seen several large rigs in sites 20, 21, 22, and 24 but I'd call the park to double check. Here is a park map show all the sites include a few pull-throughs. bit.ly/3fZzh7M. Unfortunately, I can't answer your question about the beer. I tend to abide by the no alcohol policy in WV state parks.
Cool video enjoyed seeing all the food!!
You'll have to make the trip sometime. You didn't even get to see all the cool international food they had. Plan to take several hours to stroll through it all. Don't forget a cooler and some ice.
It looks like a nice place to camp. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels -Craig
It is a very nice place to camp. Thank you for watching and subscribing to our channel.
Looks fun! Campground looked nice. What were the rates?
It was fun and a beautiful location to camp. Camping is free for up to 14 days. Appreciate you watching.
Nice video. Like how relaxed you are in front of the camera. Loved how you blend your scenes while you are narrating.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.
That is a great area. Love to camp in the trees in the good weather months.
Yes. We stayed at a site once that was completely open. Talk about a miserable week.
Looks like a great campground! Love the quiet last weekend of the season.
It was nice having the place to ourselves on the last day.
Looks like a fun area to explore!
It was. We can't wait to return.
Looks good buddy hope you all had a great time on your trip.
I did!
That looks like a great rig Kevin! I’ve been interested in this type of setup. Very nice 👍🏻
