Nick had a rough day, we all have them, as that second combo blanked the brain a bit. But honestly that is half the fun with this deck: you work out the brain fart and have this unexpected board. I still find OTKs I never knew existed doing that.

ran a similar RaikaTrooper list at locals this past weekend. Went 2-2. it's strong but i went up against some really strong decks (ritual beasts and shining sarc) worst part was going nearly full combo and getting lightning storm'd. since I had bloom out, atlas wasn't protected.

Funny how similar this is to my own insect deck! Biggest difference is I opt for a small Krawler Soma engine as well as go into Picofalena, both for combo extenders!

Just an fyi in the 1st combo you can still do the zealantis line to bring back the blaze fenix a 3rd time for the ftk. I know i mentioned the opponent needs a monster on their field but that only applies if youre trying to utilize promethean eff in the gy which isnt relevant there anyway since youre just going for the FTK. So once promethean on field eff revives blaze fenix and you burn the 2nd time with fenix eff. You take promethean and any other fire monster on field to link into salamangreat raging phoenix. Then youll link raging phoenix away for zealantis. Use zealantis eff to banish all monsters on field and re summon them. Then when fenix is resummoned via zealantis eff you can burn a 3rd time for lethal. If for some reason the ftk fails however youll still have volcanic emperor + volcanic emission to lethal your opponent during their draw phase usually.

During your last test hand, an option could be to search a level 8 over miktanus, and use polar star again for either a second septentrion for backup or the ursa who protects from targeting to protect septentrion and big dipper

Been running RaikaTroopers at locals with decent success! Waiting on Wicked Butterfly and Selene Snapper to come in the mail. I've had crummy luck the last few times I went to tournies (I swear I've opened beetrooper formation in like 80% of my games despite only running one copy.) Nailing a full combo has caused even snake-eye players to surrender rather than try to deal with the oppressive endboard. Love this deck and your videos! I'd love to hear how this deck performs for you at locals!

As a beetrooper player I appreciate the list, and the ideas that come with it, especially in the side deck, but it also kind of seems to be a very generic beetrooper and insect pile with ragnaraikas thrown in. Most specifically I feel like a lot of inclusions in the list are very bricky, and are going to end with a lot of dead hands if your open isn't perfect. I do overall love to see someone throwing some spotlight on the beetroopers, they don't get enough love!

I’ve been waiting for an updated volcanic deck for the longest thank you so much for posting this and finally someone is using grave diggers trap hole like myself. It stops hand traps because everybody and their mother is playing at least 12 to 15 and on top of that it does burn, very excellent profile (snake eyes and sarcophagus engine aside )and if it works, it works I prefer a pure variant, but nevertheless stellar deck profile let’s go ROUGE thank you

Very cool deck! The first deck I ever built in Yu-Gi-Oh was an insect deck that used Giant Ballpark and Shiny Black C Squadder, and Zexstagger and Ultimate Great insect I really enjoyed it! Is that field spell strategy still any good? I haven't played in a bit so I am unfamiliar with the current meta, but I played a lot of the same cards to this deck!
