unapologetic for giving your body to your mate? Your mate never disrespected you. Oh, how I would hope you would speak the truth. Oh my you are such a victim , according to you! shame on you and I hope that people will someday know the truth!. What you say is tantamount to fraud ...Good luck with your lies and mis-truths. Its been 8 years since you have been married, yet you say 8,9 and 10.....................Keep doing what you're doing and you'll keep getting what you are getting. This woman is very happy to play the victim...Cheers!
Too bad she cannot tell the truth with her story. she plays the victim but she signed up for all of it. Own up to it Jillian ! It's too bad she plays the victim:-( Own up to it Jill. you had a part in all of it! what a shame you decided to act so innocently, when you never even thought of what you did to the man you were married to! This is basically one woman venting her grievances and shame on you for not owning your own S!it...............
A like and a comment for the almighty apostate algoritm 💪🏼 😊❤🇳🇱
Thank you!
I lost my Dad for 14 years. 14 years of unpaid volunteer clergy work one “calling” after another in the LDS Church. There went his leisurely retirement he’d worked his whole life for. We were done fishing, camping, hunting, traveling. He had Church work to prepare. Probably put in more hours for free than he did working his career.
What a painful situation. Religion robs people.
Excellent thanks very much for sharing your story 😅
You're welcome!
Thanks ladies for sharing 😮😅

Thanks, Chris.
Hello, you two! Thank you for sharing this information and your personal experiences with us! ❤❤
Glad you appreciated our conversation. Thanks for watching.
To be fair, I watched the entire video and I honestly am not sure if you are saying that Last days ministries was a cult or if you are saying that Christianity as a whole is a cult. Can you please clarify?
They are specifically speaking about their own experiences with the LDM cult, but I will say that there are definitely culty aspects to Christianity as a whole.
@@ComeToCORT I would say that to your point, there are definitely cult like qualities in many churches. I have been looking for a church for the better part of a year now, but some of them are just scary. The solution (until God opens a door) is just to be alone with Christ. This is the only way I can be sure that I’m not joining anything which can just end up being a disappointment, because Christ will never disappoint. I would like to hear your thoughts and if you had ever considered avoiding the whole “organized religion” aspect and just following the God of the Bible. Thank you, your humble servant in Christ Jesus 🙏
@@BloodOnWood Thank you for asking my thoughts. As a former Christian and a religious trauma recovery coach, I find all religions to be human-made. The Bible is full of poetry, wisdom literature, and revenge fantasies - but it is not meant to be taken literally. Misinterpreting the Bible as literal makes Believers vulnerable to charlatans and other unhealthy leaders. I encourage you to watch the YT series "The Power of Myth," with Joseph Campbell being interviewed by Bill Moyers. Humans crave certainty, security, order, and acceptance. Religions, cults, and conspiracy groups offer all of these but that does not make their beliefs a reality. We can meet these needs through secular, science/evidence-based education, volunteering, and participating in shared interest groups. I'd be happy to chat with you in more detail. You can book a free 20-minute consultation with me here: www.divorcing-religion.com/
Hi! I am Julie from St Louis Missouri. I am currently watching this and wow! As terrible as some of the things we went through were, knowing someone else experienced it....and is now speaking about it....wow! My heart is an ambivilent mess right now! I, too read the 1976 edition of World Book from A to Z! I did not think anyone else would have done that....but when you have no other means of entertainment...you do what you gotta do! On a more somber note....my parents divorced in my teens so my mom and I were no longer welcome. My dad remarried so he too became no longer welcome. I was told at the age of 12 or 13 that it was my responsibility to get my parents back together and back in meetings. There was an understood that if this didn't happen we were all doomed to hell but also bad things would happen to us. Fast forward 10 years or so, when I gave birth to my second daughter. Although she was born "normal", after her 6 month vaccinations she became disabled from the midriff down. For years, I carried this as my fault because I didn't get my parents back together and had left the meetings. It took many many years of counseling before I understood it wasn't because of that. And even now at times, I have weak moments and I go back to that thought process. I guess I just really wanted to say thank you so much for making this video. It has made me feel like I am not alone! It has been such a long and hard road. Just knowing that there are people I have never met that understand make the load not seem quite as heavy. Thank you so much!
You are very welcome. I'm sorry that you can relate to such painful experiences. Please explore my other videos on this YT channel, as you may find additional inspiration in them. 2x2ism has a vastly out of proportion rate of homosexuality than the general population. Why? What is going on in those home-lives?
You're trying to control others thoughts and not allow beliefs..... how are you any better ????? Why not be inclusive in general
Nope - not "trying to control others thoughts and not allow beliefs." Thanks for watching.
My husband is sure that his dad knew that some inappropriate actions that happened because he wouldn’t have the male workers come and stay when his girls were young - something he remembered now, as an adult.
Very disturbing that anyone would know of such abuse and fail to disclose it to authorities. Thanks for watching and commenting.
2x2’s are all about the $ and control
Total truth
Wow. 😮
💯 If informed consent is absent it’s not a “choice”. Whatever “it” is. Period.
Agreed! Thanks for commenting.
I would never allow a religion dictate what l can door say. It is my life any none off your g-dam business. Religion is all made up, an illusion.
Agreed - and it can be a real journey trying to navigate away from childhood indoctrination.
Thanks for the interview, Janice!
Thanks for joining me!
Yes, manipulation, word salad and shaming 😮😮. Glad im out😅
Me too!
Thanks very much 👍

Fellowship United Christian Kingdom. 😂🤣😖 That was a fun comic relief in the midst of heavy important topics of cultish control and mental health. Thanks for another very healing episode of #DivorcingReligionPodcast... doing great work to claim our own lives for ourselves.💖
Thanks for watching, Carol! Very glad you appreciate this podcast.
so much love your way Wilbur
Wilbur deserves ALL the love! Thanks for watching.
Christianity has been very harmful to me.
Sorry to hear that. You are not alone. If you're looking for support, check out www.divorcing-religion.com/
Those hard core Christians or Christonationalists that "know the truth" and think they shall be in power to make things right are grave narcissists. I think it is time to drop the notion that they are "well-meaning but deluded and destructive", they are evil. If they were brought up in an evangelical environment to believe that way, they were brought up to become evil, and that disrespecting the fact that they "had no such intention", and that "they had no choice": if they are doing destructive things, they are evil. There is a problem in Christianity as a whole, to why they don't speak up against evil Christians, identify them, blame them and denounce them for their destruction. I think the rule system of "don't judge in such a way as to make yourself be judged by the same measures" in the foolish mind of Christians becomes simplified to "don't judge!" Thereby Christianity as a whole damages itself by being accomplices to evil Christians, getting the secular label of "being a bunch of hypocrits". The rule system is too complicated, or outright wrong.
Thank you so much for this experience!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed our conversation.
Great interview again. 💖 I love the encouragement to accept ourselves as we are, especially as we age. When I turned 50 a few years ago I wrote down these few lines: They say that I am "over the hill" like it is an insult. They say that I have "let myself go" like it is a threat. Well, I scratched and clawed, stumbled and fell. And I Climbed that hill. Now -I let myself go-- coasting down the other side, the wind in my hair! 😅💨💫🥰
I love it! Thanks for sharing.
What happens to many people I think they are brainwashed as a small child. Many strict religious communities shun a person should you leave. They can’t control you anymore!
Yes, it's hard to break from from childhood indoctrination - but it is so worth it! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Where can we get access to see and watch How to Get to Heaven with the Hutterites? What an amazing documentary. There’s no sign of anywhere anymore.

@22:40 Andrea: the thing I notice most: the expression on your face when you mention your wife. Your face just lights-up! You should be that happy. Although you've discarded the guilt, you can always remember that religion is man-made. Spirituality, supernatural events, god, gods, deities, sacred ideas or spaces, religious rules - all made up. The human mind can create all those concepts and it can also discard them. As Dawkins says - if you know what to discard from the bible or koran and you know what to keep, then who needs the book? Like the Jefferson bible - slice slice slice file 13.
@9:12 why am I not even slightly surprised. And how sad a statement that is. Sexual abuse should never be institutionalized so easily. Every single religious culture has it and few proactively work to eliminate it. @13:43 no life experience is also a problem for ex-preachers. Fortunately there is 'The Clergy Project' to help struggling preachers move on.
So glad to hear you've had feedback that you've been a resource for some who felt they had nowhere to go. Sorry that some get 'tricked' into marriages and trapped by purity culture. Listen to "Eve was Framed" who Seth interviewed on TheThinkingAtheist Podcast. @3:30 sounds just like the compound for Scientology and FLDS to a lesser degree. @4:20 is just like the book "Abrahams Daughter" that just came out. As a kid she gets dragged to Mongolia. Then years later does it to HER kids! Innocent young minds sacrificed to a 'hypnotized' parent.
the courage through the indigestion was inspiring lol
Thanks for watching.
@@ComeToCORT enjoyed it!
Pro tip for girls and women: If your religion tells you that you have to be subservient to a man (or men in general), it's time to find a new religion. This is probably not the place for this comment, I would think most people here have already worked that out for themselves.
Thank you so much it resonates and is so validating!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
How doesn’t this have more views. This seems well educated and genuinely caring. Thank you!
Thank you for watching! Feel free to share.
My book is being delivered today. I’m looking forward to reading it as a part of my healing. I grew in a black, evangelical Christian home. And went to Independent Baptist school until I was expelled in the middle of 8th grade in the 80’s. I’m in my 50’s and I’m still working through a lot of the racism I experienced there.
I hope Tia's book is helpful for you on some level. Thanks very much for sharing your experience.
Excellent thanks very much 😅
You're welcome!
She is one strong woman 💪😅. Thanks very much for sharing your story ❤
She is a powerhouse.
It sounds Matt blames god for the the treatment of his parents. That’s not a religion problem, that is a people problem.
It is a religion problem when the parents - or culture - base their childrearing on the Bible.
Excellent thanks very much 😅
You're welcome!
Yes, celebrated as we show up in the world, at any stage of life😅

The best psycholoist would be some who knows who we are. We are spirits with or without physical body at any given time. Psychiatrists are useless because they are materialistic. We are spiritual. We are spirits. Western culture is nuts - does not get it!
Thanks for watching.
Absolutely heartbreaking ❤️🩹
Yes, I agree. It's amazing what Wilbur has done since those days! Thanks for watching.
I loved the doggie. I am in California and my family is from Kelowna, Vernon and new BrunSwick
Nice! The Okanagan is a beautiful place. I hope to visit New Brunswick one day.
For the record, some of the oppressive costums of these hasidic communities are not required by halacha (Jewish law). Also it's crazy that she has ten kids.
Thanks for your insight on Jewish law. As for 10 kids, I found myself pretty busy with just 2. Big families don't work for everyone, but they do work for some.
I grew up in this fellowship…sect. It’s interesting to hear how it was processed with each individual. The exclusivity is one of the points that never made sense to me. It’s maddening that hairstyles were quickly condemned, however, p*dophilia or r*pe, was swept under the carpet. So many secrets. Worker worship is real! Yipes! Fear & guilt, instead of love.
I wonder if some people twisted a well meaning institution. One thing for sure, the last few years has been a mind twist.
What a pain filled life experience. Being accepted and having emotional support is so key. I have a murderous dad and growing up in this church as a young child ‘different’ in this church was very a mental twist.
@@thememorytraveler4978 No one joins a cult - they join a community, a good thing, or a chance to change/save the world. While trauma is subjective, being born or raised in a high-demand group can leave significant scars. Thanks for watching and sharing your insights.
Appreciating the collectives you are a part of and the individuals within said collectives that supported and assisted you along the way has nothing to do with collectivism. Individualism can value the individual above any collective AND understand that the greatest benefit to the self are the relationships built and maintained within the collectives you identify with. Collectives are not antithetical to individualism, just as individuals are not antithetical to collectivism.
Thanks for your thoughtful note.
