Brick is a more solid option but for most domestic construction projects Hebel is more than suitable, we often combine brick with Hebel, using brick for boundary walls or impact areas like a garage entry. The finish to both are very similar. The main difference is speed on site and cost, Hebel is quick to install and offers a price advantage over brick.

We used 75mm, it is a competitive product to use pricewise against similar finish options.

Please contact our office to discuss this project in detail, but you would need a budget of $1.5M+ for something like this, the plan can be scaled back to suit a smaller block.

Not sure what part of Melbourne is only hot for 3 days, for the days it's not so hot we have a pool heater so you can enjoy it for longer.

I’m building a single storey Hebel construction… any suggestions you would like to give ..

@@23audermars using hebel can be a bonus, great insulation, but make sure, imo, that they are large thick blocks, about 200-250mm wide. make sure you also include fixing points to your frame as hebel is non structural as clay brick are, ie, you have limited support if screwing on even the smallest external fixtures. use expansion joints, especially both sides of windows, this is a must, foundations move and cracks will happen, make sure you use the best membrane paint, hebel will soak up water and eventually fail, make sure your starting point at the base is about ground level and not subject to water penetration. I would prefer to use larger hollow concrete blocks, double wall with a kingspan insulation, fill up all the concrete blocks with mortar made from sand, cement and polystyrene balls, this way you have sound proffing, and energy efficiency to the max, good luck

Thank you for your comments, its is certainly a photogenic home! It was filmed using a high quality digital SLR, unfortunately it was raining on the day of filming so no drone. But we do normally use drones also.
