as a person coming back to skullgirls after years trying to relearn the game and is having an incredibly hard time learning Dhalia her movement is very awkward and tricky, her gameplan and kit are unintuitive and weird both solo and in teams, and she requires alot of setup and tech and combo routes to be comfortably playable. Her meterless and metered routes are entirely different, she has empowered and non empowered routes and some of her combos are hard as hell. I've been playing fighting games for 6 years and skullgirls was the first fighting game i ever got into and the one i have the most hours logged onto and i've been spending hours on dhalia's non empowered throw combo. Not to mention how inconsistent, spacing, resource, and starter dependent alot of her combos are shotgun loops alone require 4 different combos for each area of the stage. Any new player either new to skullgirls or new to fighting games in general will have a far easier time learning, pretty much any other character. and then characters like fillia and cerebella are ranked higher because they are being judged based on the highest level of gameplay or by how much they have to deal with zoning, which if those were the case then squigly would definitely be high too. Though I'll say people always exaggerate how hard squigly is too learn, she's pretty easy and if you're a new player you can basically entirely ignore hit confirms and do mixups and resets whenever you want with her. And peacock players do not deserve this much credit too, they're combos are a little hard sure but her gameplan??? She has such easy run away tools, she can easily confirm from full screen to pressure, and you need to learn like 1 or 2 different projectile patterns. Robo fortunes too, they're combos are really easy and consistent and they don't need alot of routes, they're gameplan is very simple, probably one of the easiest characters in the game to learn and the quickest to start improving with them and to get their strategy down. I don't mean to rant on what was probably just a video for fun or a thought experiment but kind of insane takes not gonna lie

I'm suuuuper late (and new) to skullgirls but been loving it recently, I've only seen it on mobile and it so insanely hard to get the combos off, are you guys playing on something else/

When I was playing Ultimate it was always super helpful when BeefySmashDoods would give a visual to see how stuff changed and how impactful each change is in a patch so thank you for doing the same thing and helping people understand patch notes 👍.

As a solo squigly main, i shall also say.....character is cake. The hardest thing i ever do as squigly is stancel microdash jab. that's the hardest thing imo
