RC CAD2Vr is made to bring you in depth views into how anyone, including you, can start designing, building, and fling your very own scaled RC Airplanes. I love passing on knowledge and the trade secrets I've pick up along the way and show you the entire process from draft to flight. Follow along as I create each plane in CAD, then build, test then.....V1.... rotate!

Why's it taking so long? L-1011 RC Airplane Build and Kit Development
Yes, I'm still here and still building. This is a progress update on the L-1011 RC Airliner Kit development and build. In this video I briefly describe the challenges that come with developing the RC airplane kit of the iconic tri-jet airliner.
Development has been much slower than I had hoped it would be, but It's getting very close to being ready for skinning an early testing.

Building BIG - Wood Framed RC Model L-1011 Airliner | Part 3 - Empennage
Переглядів 317 тис.Рік тому
The long awaited part 3 of the wood framed RC L-1011 Scale Model Airliner Kit is finally here. Working with the ply wood that was cut on my laser machine makes assembly easy and precise. In this RC build episode, I assemble my own CAD designed airliner tail section's wooden frame complete with 3D Printed Molds for the Rudder and S-Duct, engineering grade composite 3D printed parts, and Carbon F...

How To Start Designing RC Airplanes in Fusion 360 Tutorial [Episode 1]
I’ve been following your project, since day one. I also did the same project as you, different type of plane, simpler plane of course, I managed to make it in 3D by following your tutorial, thank you, with 0 experience in CAD, which is an achievement for me, im so happy. but I experienced problems at this step, making a template for laser cutting. Is it because I'm using the trial version of Fusion 360?, cant wait to see your project done, must be a masterpiece.. sorry for my terrible english. Terima Kasih 🇮🇩🇮🇩
I love you my brother. Thats exactly what i am looking for. As i understande by first video that tutorial is magnificent.
There is a checkbox in airfoil tools which can be selected to "close the trailing edge" when printing.
What type of wood are you using in the frame? So fascinating to see how these are made.
Very cool!
I feel like you skipped a lot of steps and magically had a rudder at the end
Where can I get draws or model planes of this project?
I'm going to watch all of your videos on airplane design but my objective is to 3D print the parts. I'm going to try to do the King Air 360.
Awesome tutorial!!! Can anyone give me advice on where to find the three view (or 3 plans) drawings?
bro really u don't upload a 22000x22000 photo on your website without a warning it took up a hole 2GB of RAM man!
Can I make clay mould ?
how many layers have you used?
I really hope you reply to this comment Where did you get that bendable aluminium from
very nice video
Had to pause the video just to say, too many cuts/transitions. hard on the eyes, and brain.
Seems like you're just winging it with these videos. Sarcasm
holy ghost can teach like this . buddy very patient and spoken slowly and well. excellent teaching method. amen .thank you.
I CAN'T MOVE MY PLAN
You have to turn off Timeline to make it work
Where can I find that image of the plane?
Hope u add “ thread lock” to fasteners to prevent failure
How passenger planes were designed in the 50s and 60s :
Transparency, thy name is Terrance. This video was posted a year ago - July 2023. You mention things happening in 'the fall'. Does that now mean Fall 2024?
Great thanks 👍
👍
what's that red stuff,is it ordinary paint?
Mold paint/ epoxy
I am REALLY interested in starting to the aircraft RC world, but have no idea how to start, what would you recommend for me to do? Considering I want to make planes as engineering-accurate as possible
Thanks for the great video, I have a question, why I can't move the new offset plane on minute 3:49? it only give me the option of moving objects or faces, no planes. Thanks
BTW Have you ever flown an RC airplane??
Set "ORBIT" center not origin.
Real aircraft wing ribs are in line with the air flow over the wings not angled like you did.
Yea Hell 2 the yessssss
thank you so much
New Video coming 2025??
Is there a way to do this with a mesh?
wheres the wings
This is really, really amazing! I'm by no means a F 360 expert but I do know of a better way to build and extrude those fuselage formers/bulkheads. I traced out the sketch just like Terrence but I used the trim tool on the sketch to get rid of all the intersecting lines. After that you can select the whole shape without having to select each piece of the model to extrude it.
Hi. Can't move my offset plane. Do everything as shown in the video. whenever I want to move it, the program says I should select a body ... I can't move the offset plane surface
Bro can you give me this molds please
🤘🤘
Hi, dear sir can you give me a computer configuration that can run Fusion360 perfectly, and can handle complex model combinations with many faces and entities, smoothly without lag?
Hey, has anyone ever tried doing this out of steel ? Like 3mm stainless? I have access to an industrial laser cutter and welder. You could tack together the pieces using a Tig welder instead of where your gluing. Would be way heavier tho , gonna need some real power to get it off the ground
So a year more later and is this project still in the works or has it fallen by the wayside??
This video is so relaxing
I’ve found that using ABS and simply vapor smoothing the surface works better and is way less work
You should carbon fiber, certain honda, parts panels and make money. Lol
glad to see you again man
I watched a lot of your videos and am also trying to get started on making an airplane. However, I found that the design of the landing gear and the animation effect of the landing gear were not mentioned in the tutorial. I think this is a bit rare. Can you talk about it in a future video?
The beginning of this series just might be the best Fusion tutorial in existence, I am very pleased it exists, and I go back periodically to do a refresher course, and I always come away with some new knowledge. Thank you much
Sooo.... this is (at this time for this comment) an old video now.....what does the L-1011 look like now?
No responses from the guy. I hope he's OK. He was going to be a hugely successful youtuber at this rate which makes me concerned it could be a health thing.
Hi, I love your videos. Is there the opportunity to get the arranged parts directly as a drawing to print the sketch on paper? Thanks!
