Dodge Magnum / Chrysler 300 Front End Swap - Stop Motion
When I swapped a Chrysler 300 SRT8 front end onto my 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8, I decided to take a different approach to making a video of the swap. I took over 3200 photos to put this stop motion video together.

Video of how my 2001 Mustang Bullitt is behaving. - Less than 1/4 throttle pressure, can accelerate up to redline. - Above 1/3 throttle pressure, car will stumble, buck, and not accelerate above ~3K rpm.

My 2001 Bullitt has a problem of stumbling/missing under load, when accelerating at greater than ~ 1/3 throttle pressure, past ~3K rpm. Trying to troubleshoot, diagnose.

Cold start video of the exhaust system that was on my Bullitt. Consisted of gutted catalytic converters, factory H-pipe and no-name mufflers. The exhaust dumped before the axle, and the factory exhaust tips were just left there. Can I ask what hood you took off in the beginning?
It was the stock Magnum hood that I cut a hole in and installed a 2014 Shelby GT500 Hood Vent into.

Did you have merged fenders done already or did the 300c fenders bolt & line up perfectly?
The '05-'10 300 fenders are a direct bolt on. You do not have to do any blending like you would with a Charger, or newer 300.

what year is that possible on or is it all year and models
For a direct bolt on, any year 300 from 2005-2010 will be direct bolt on. 2011+ would require blending the fenders.
personally i think the 300 front end looks better than a charger front end
bruh you could have just bought a 300 wagon but this looked super easy and cheaper
Nah, I couldn't. The 300 wagon wasn't sold in the US. it wont be legal to import one into the US until 2031
You was able to put the 300 fender without cutting anything?
Yes. The 05-10 Chrysler 300 fenders have matching body lines to the Magnum, so no cutting is required. Bolt on only.

That's a terrific video! I know that Chrysler-branded Magnum wagons were sold in Europe and elsewhere, so it's not a phony swap. But if it was originally titled as a Dodge, legally it must remain a Dodge, correct? Or is your state willing to retitle it as a Chrysler? Or don't you care? 🙂 Moving on, if you go to a super-organized Mopar show, which section would you park in -- Dodge or Chrysler? And if you win an award and they give you a trophy that says Chrysler, couldn't a disgruntled loser successfully challenge the award? If you get a parking or speeding ticket and the officer erroneously writes it up as a Chrysler, would that be grounds for dismissing the ticket? But then could authorities charge you with impersonating a Chrysler? If you sell it as a Chrysler and the buyer discovers the front-end swap, could he sue you for fraud? See what you have started? 😐
Thanks for the compliments on the video. Regarding the questions about whether it is a Dodge or a Chrysler, it all comes down to the VIN. The VIN says its a Dodge, so when it comes to registration, looking up parts, etc... it's a Dodge. When it comes to entering car shows, it's a Dodge. If a cop writes it up as a Chrysler, that's on him. But probably wouldn't because my registration and insurance (which all contain the VIN) will clearly show that it is a Dodge.

Do you use the piece under the fender from the magnum or 300 ?
I used the factory fender splash shield from the Magnum SRT8.
The only thing missing was Gumby, well done!
That was probably the most simplistic how to video I've ever seen. Super cool to see you use stop motion to do a "step by step" guide. Probably took a butt load of time, but your efforts don't go unnoticed! Looked great afterwards too. Didn't realize you could just swap out the mount panel and everything just bolts up and plugs in.

It took me 2.5 days, including all of the photography. The swap can be done in a day no problem.

What’s the name and size of the rims and tires on this
The wheels are Factory Reproductions FR-74 Hellcat Widebody replicas. Tires were BFGs, with tredwear.com white letter tires on them.
