      Hi Jonathan! Thank you for your support! Yes you can deep fry them. Just make sure to dry them well with kitchen roll and then let them air dry for about half an hour. Put enough oil in a pan to deep fry them a handful at a time. Then add your spices and salt as soon as you get them out of the oil! Enjoy!

    Thank you for your presentation. You are the only one, currently as of 11/29/2023 who used Cameroon's stovetop smoker and smoking Cheese. Since you posted this 3 years ago, have you tried other cheese? I have a hunk of Cheddar and I wonder if I can smoke soft cheese. The instructions on my Cameron's smoker say only to smoke for 4 minutes after smoker is at Temperature, I will assume that it is smoking. and to place in a foil boat and in cubed form.

      @littlecravings Рік тому

      Hi! Thanks for your lovely comment. Unfortunately due to ill health I haven’t been able to experiment with cheese any further. Though this process was delicate I felt it worked a treat. I would follow the same with a piece of cheese as a hunk, rather than cubing it. Unless you want a super intense flavour that cancels out the cheddar properties, I’d leave it in a bigger piece. I hope this helps! Hopefully the new year will allow me to come back with more videos exploring the possibilities of the stovetop smoker!

      As for the soft cheese…I’d love to try it. I’d start with placing it in a stoneware container and smoking it for a couple of minutes. Then maybe take it from there. I’m excited thinking of the possible cheeses. I think I’m going to try a Camembert!

      @@littlecravings I tried this last evening after watching this vid. I was using marfona pots. I scrubbed the pots then peeled, rinse and let them stand for 20 mins (whilst getting other things cooking). I put them under the grill. Was interesting. It's easy to overheat them and need to be cooked "just right" (not under cooked or burnt). They were quite a tasty addition to my meal, some tasted like a "cigar", some "earthy" - what I liked was, it's such a simple idea and yields such flavour for free.

    • @littlecravings

      @totaltwit this recipe hits so many points for me: it’s simple, tasty and reduces waste. Yes, the peels can go on my compost heap, but why not eat it? I’m experimenting with zucchini, sweet potatoes and I’m saving vegetable peel for veggie stock. It’s all satisfying. Thank you!,
