The Sedna Nuclear Laboratory accelerator system has gone through many breakthroughs including the installation of the beam target chamber, beam energy scan, positron beam source, and the main beam line. This update also includes the completion of the cryogenic refrigerator refurbishment, and the testing will be done in the next update. Many beam instrumentation preparations are still underway, ...
Freight Pickup | X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy

I recently purchased a retired X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy system made by Perkin Elmer back in the 1970s. The unit was too large to fit in the lift gate, so they only could deliver it to the nearest terminal. I decided to get a U-Haul truck and go pick it up. After unloading it from the truck, I then disassembled each instrumentation attachment from the system. As of now as I'm uploading t...

Steam distillation is one of the most do-able chemical experiments at home. Plant oils like the lemon essential oil not only produces good scent, but it also provides a number of health benefits. This particular steam distillation experiment is done also to demonstrate the use of Ethanol as solvent, instead of N-Hexane. N-Hexane is known to be the most widely used solvent for steam distillation...

ive dismantled one of these kidde detectors in under a minute, the easiest way is to pop the housing off, pop the board out, clip the wires, crack the board in half where the ionization source is, use pliers to remove the soldered bits once the board is cracked, cut the plastic bits holding the source, and crack that in half and you should get your button source. ill eventually make a video over the process.

It occurs to me that you may what to investigate and report on the hypothetically cleaner energy production process developed by David LaPoint and his open sourced patented bowl shaped fusion device. I've followed David LaPoint for a decade +-. My interests have been focused on healing energies over weapons' energies of course. All LaPoint's publications are open source. He is inspired through visions. As a result he apparently has had to migrate out of the US to operate. The energy patterns he reports appear to be on all levels from the micro to the cosmic-universal in magnitude. The watching speed of his videos can sped up using the setting button on the video, of course... which I use for expediency ... sometimes jumping ahead 30 seconds at a click to audit. LaPoint parallel's NIF at LLNL, bypassing pellets (no pellets used). The implications of his work is self-evident. He is compelled to first state what he plans to do before doing it....then testing it live action. When I say he is "compelled" I am parroting his own statements that these are Devine voices in his head.... I think you'll find his work of more than nominal interest ... I think the shield was there to reduce stray light in the original wavelength range of interest. If this is originally for Raman, the spectral range should be about 150nm range. So not all of the 2048 detector pixels are used. For calibration, you could use a neon lamp or mercury argon lamp to calibrate the spectrometer with the peak positions from the calibration light source.

The three phases of Plasma Discharge Modes should be explained more fully in my opinion, rather one being an intermediate stage towards an arc. They are PDM 1, Dark Mode and where there isn't enough power density in the discharge to be seen in visible to human wavelengths of the Electromagnetic Spectrum. PDM 2, Glow Mode and where there is an increase in power density in the discharge and can be seen by humans and PDM 3, Arc Mode and which has such a high density that the discharge enough of magnetic field to restrict the discharge into a tight filament.

    • @iheartnuclear8517

While Americium-241 is fissile, the critical mass for a pure Americium-241 to become critical is about 60 kg (132 lbs). External pressure acting on such fissile material can contribute to lower the critical mass requirements, luckily I'm a small guy and my pinch would not contribute much. Also, the amount I possess (1 x 5uCi) basically cannot generate any fissile activities.
