Nice scooter
Lol I watched the whole thing to see if you caught a really loud MT-07 on camera since I also live in Flag
Ha! You wouldn't happen to haul ass down 40 often, do you? I can see the highway from my house and always hear that motor screaming. Lol
@@TyposGarage occasionally, I live on the west side of town and typically don't go past Butler lol
Thank goodness you were there to tell him "You stalled it" right after he stalled it, hearing that he stalled it with his ears, and feeling he stalled it with no more vibrations but, there was nothing that sealed the deal until you said "You stalled it" GREAT JOB!!!
Well, he knows how to ride now, so obviously, it worked. Man, you really broke that one down for me. Thanks!
Bro has been so busy he hasn't shaved his neck 😂 jk buddy It's a great video. I like the editing. Happy trails
😂😂
I was considering purchasing this bike, but I've come across numerous horror stories about having to constantly rejet the carb if you plan to ride in the mountains. I live at an elevation of 2,500 feet and often ride at much higher elevations. It sounds like a hassle to adjust for different elevations. I'd love to see a video on how you manage this issue when riding through such a broad range of elevations in a single day.
I'm at 6000 ft and am running the stock with the mixer at 2 turns on the mixer with a thin washer under the needle and she is running pretty good. I do have an aftermarket muffler and a pod filter on it. Since i don't get to wet out here in northern Nevada the pod filter is my choice because i had the same issue with the intake hose. 😎👍
What size/type of o-ring/seal to replace for cylinders?
I love videos like this
My Hawk, a 2024, came with built in problems: the factory battery is horrible and needed immediate replacement. The battery "cables" are nothing more than thick wires and could not deliver enough power to the starter and the solenoid. The cable for the solenoid is a mere 3 inches long and I was able to find a custom length battery cable on eBay. I also performed a valve adjustment. So my bike is in pretty good shape now, but the idea that there will be no issues - is an issue.
My scooter starts goods, however when I try to accelerate it won’t move
Definitely something with the CVT transmission. Possibly a belt
That’s how I was I just learn today how to ride
Anyone have an idea? I have new carb, new coil, new cdi, new cyliner set and a new spark plug. Really strong spark comes out but the engine wont even cough. The valves are in:0.1mm ex:0.15mm.
I went with the bsr raven. 65mph on gps speedometer stock 😁 gonna drop the rear sprocket from 46 down to 42, and get some good 80/20 tires for a less buzzy ride at above 45mph. Other than that, shes a champ out of the box 💪
i got the 2023 hawk dlx EFI and got 75 mph out of it stock i weigh 180 so really impressed me and came with 17 and 45 sprockets
Looks amazing
I appreciate it!
🤙🤙
How to change the oil on a 2004 R4 vento scooter
That's a great bike. Don't forget about the doohickey unless you fixed it already.
I am planning on checking if the doohickey was done this winter when I restore the bike
I doubt you ever figured it out.
👍👍
I use a 110, but I'm at only 700 feet. Those speedometers are NEVER right!
I used a 110 at 1000 feet and it ran pretty good. Yea, I really need to use the GPS on my phone to see what my speed actually is.
I have done this on my 125 cc Not same bike but its similar .This is a good change to get a smoother revs on the road. as long as you don't go into verry steep hills with 2 persons or carrying heavy loads the bike will not run out of gears all the time :P
I'm late to this video, but before I pull out the carburetor, I want to spray some cleaner on it. It has sat for a while. I cannot figure out where to spray it. I need some more detail on where the air intake and carb part are located and perhaps what they look like. Some videos address the issue, but they don't take it to the finish line.
👍
Everyone needs a dual sport. Everyone.
Any fixes for that screeching? Sounds like it’s coming from my front wheel?
I think it's the rear wheel. Possibly something in the bearing? I know I have removed the rear wheel and regreased it. It went away for a while. I also greased the axle, which definitely could have been the culprit
Sounds good
👍
4:39 you said unit 😊😂
My 49cc taotao won't start its getting fuel and spark, it acts like it wants to start when I spray gas in the carb but nothing. I've changed the cdi, carb, fuel filter I'm at a loss
If that is correct.. I wasn’t even born yet when this video was made…. Surely this wasn’t in 2000?
Lol this was a cheap knock off gopro and for some reason it set the date as 2000.
Hello sir so happy to watch this video....I am in Haïti 🇭🇹 can you help me to get a kit of line for my scooter please 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
👍👍
Wait, you converted the throttle to a pedal type?
That is the rear brake pedal.
Where you from dude
I'm originally from Western Pennsylvania, but I'm out in AZ now.
how do i know if i did it correct
👍
Looks the same as my bike. You can fit a 19T up front if you want to grind down some sprocket cover, But considering you can still drop 10Tooth on the rear , it's better to just do 17T front and like 40 to 35T rear.
I have a 2022 znen 150CC
This is for the viewers watching the video, for all of these Chinese GY6 clone engines you do not screw the dip stick in at all to check the oil. All ya have to do is insert the dip stick to the threads and then pull it back out for the proper oil level check. Do NOT thread the dip stick back in to check the oil level!! The other recommendation would be to use a 10W30 or 10W40 motor oil if the engine has low miles on it or is still new. Do not ever use high viscosity oil, 5w50 or 10w50, on any small cc new engine even if ya live in the desert. A newer engine with tight tolerances NEEDS the lighter viscosity oil to be able to flow into the tighter tolerance bearing journals and valve guides!!😁
Stupid question but can we use car motor oil on them or is there motorcycle oil specifically for moped
@@gerardoruiz5634 Great question, since there is no oil bath clutch when equiped with an air cooled CVT on a scooter the quality and the viscosity of the oil used is more important. If you want to use motorcycle specific oil there is no harm to the engine but it is not needed. I do not ever use synthetic or a 50/50 blend until the engine is fully broken in. Dinasaur oil for at least the break in period first, always sticking with the owners manual or service manual recommended viscosity of the oil!😁
If You want overdrive for 5 th gear use a 39 or 40 t rear. I use a 17 - 34. First gear is like second or higher but I find it perfect for Me at 120 lbs. Street rider.
That top exhaust pipe, as im sure youve learned, is a "dummy" pipe. The exhaust from both cylinders go to the bottom pipe. Good luck! Cheers!
Heads up. The music is too loud at 6:00. We can't hear you at all.
Thanks for the heads up! I'll trim it
Where at in pa I'm outside Pittsburgh like 1.5 hrs
I'm actually in Arizona now.
Phoenix?
Flagstaff
Try 17/42 or 41 thats what I use my top speed is 80mph and up
A part 2?
Excited to follow your progress. I'm definitely going to use your project as inspiration for my current XV250 project
Very cool! I am posting an update video tonight and I've made a ton of progress. Do you plan on filming your build?
Where in Pennsylvania are you located I need a tune-up on my 150cc
I'm actually in Arizona now. I moved about a year ago, unfortunately.
