When the office was first on TV I never watched it... Then years later bought the dvd in a car boot sale for £1 omg what a show, absolutely brilliant, best comedy I've seen for a long long time if not ever.

Interesting. Since there’s few filmed performances of bands and singers from the 30s, it’s cool to see those people, even if it’s from a later era (like here, the late 50s). Have you ever noticed that “The Object of My Affection” is one of the few songs where the assumption is that the singer is a white man? Sad, but with the blatant racism of that era, I guess that it’s not surprising…
