@@noisackda2564 sad 😥 looking for a good all purpose zoom vlog lens that will work with the crop on dynamic and has a good low aperture, have you tried any of the Panasonic cameras? Some of the lenses look intriguing like 12mm -40mm at 2.8 🤔

@@RegalNoise You know for the the ZV-E1 you don't even need a fast lens because it's so good in low light. I used the 20-70mm F4 lens on my trip to Japan where I filmed at night and the image looked clean.

Not a dumb question at all :) The type of lens does not affect Slog3 color. Just make sure your exposure isn't too dark or too bright and you're good.

It should. 16mm is wide but not too wide with active we should punch right past the vignetting. If not then a 5% zoom would get rid of it I think.

I agree. I think only camera folks are going to know it's gimped. I do think that if they can make a crazy kit lens like an 11-35 it would be the perfect vlogging lens. The fact that the crop on dynamic stabe is like %30 makes a lens starting at 16mm not really useful as a vlogging lens haha.

Glad you like them :) I totally agree. I hate it when people say these lenses aren't perfect. Well perfect is boring AF. Perfect is a great reason to not buy a lens IMO.

@@RCGJR_ You got it right there. Perfect lenses look like you are shooting a toothpaste commercial. Lenses with character are what Movie directors gravitate to. They shot some of the Batman movie with a cheap $100 Helios lens. Crazy right? Thanks for the support man. Appreciate it.

@@noisackda2564 cool thank you so much 🙏. I also have a sony fx30 and i just ordered the sirui 23mm (i need wide angle) i need to progress on color grading, are you happy with the autofocus with the 23mm ? congrats for your skills 😊

@@CrangProductions You're welcome :) The 23 is great. I never had issues with autofocus myself, but there is an updated firmware that improves this. If you needed an ultrawide remember they just released a 16mm.

@@noisackda2564 yes i've seen the 16 mm but i think it's too wide for portraits, i don't like it for faces

@@CrangProductions Gotcha! Yeah definitely not good for portraits. 23mm APSC is about 35mm full frame which is good for low distortion. 33mm is probably better for portraits though. I find the 23mm a bit wide personally.

Appreciate it man. I have a full-frame Sony camera as well and I prefer the IQ of the FX-30 :P . I shoot in SLOG3 and I color grade with Phantom luts.

Hell yeah! Canada represent! I would return the Tamron haha. I had two tamrons in the past and they were both pretty bad with stability. This Sony lens is probably the best lens you can get IMO. Every time I use it it never misses. It's really good! Premium price but worth it.

Hey Johnny. Thanks for the offer to design me a logo. Believe it or not I'm also a graphic designer :P Regarding the Xperia 1 VI. I like it but the sensor is far too small to have that 3D punch a dedicated camera has.

For the intro and vlogging bits I'm using the ZV-E1 with the Viltrox 16mm F1.8 lens. For the POV stuff I'm using the DJI action 2

Yeah it was malfunctioning haha. Autoframing doesn't work well if you're very close.

The hip thing is a real downer so I know how you must feel being injured. I wanted to do BJJ as well but I have a hand issue as well that's worse than the hips. I'm actively looking for a pocket 3 in my area, but it's still on backorder. I'm fine with it TBH. The longer I wait the more I think I don't need it. It's a great vlogging kit but it's really not that diverse when you think about it.

Yeah I don't know man. If they keep the body the same size it's going to be hard since IBIS requires some space to move. They were able to do it for the E1 so never say never but the E1 is a little bigger than the ZV-E10. Plus IBIS will balloon cost quite it bit. They might just throw D active on it and most people will be happy with that I think. It works like a charm on the E1.

That might be helpful, but a 30% crop on top of the APSC crop is still pretty brutal. The reality is I really want the ZV-E1 but not willing to trade a vacation for it.

I hear ya. I always have to buy a grip add-on for these cameras with small handles. It's damn annoying. I find that even with my ZV-E1 with the larger battery it's too small.

I agree 100%. If you are looking for a camera to take on a 2hr walk with you, these non ergonomical grips just don’t work. I have the A7C with the tiny Sony G lenses and find it just barely acceptable. I love the camera but frequently feel I’m going to drop it The A6700’s grip is no A7IV, (my favorite), but is a whole lot more ergonomical than A7C, and the even non existant grip on the panasonic S9.

It's funny how everyone feels the exact same about the ZV-E10. It's pretty glaring what the issues are. At this point, I would be shocked if the Mark2 didn't at least shoot 4k60. It all depends on how budget Sony is going to keep this thing I suppose. We will see soon.

@@noisackda2564 Only time will tell! I learned a ton about composition and video production with my ZV-E10. I don't regret buying it, and it'll be a sad day once I find a buyer for that and the lenses I used with that kit.

The mini golf did you in?!?! Hahahahaha!!! Sorry didn't mean to laugh but damn! Funny enough age 44 was when I started really feeling it. I was okay up until that age and for some reason, I started to get old man health issues right around then. I'm trying to reverse it now and it seems to be working but I don't have much more time. I can't see myself being able to move like this at 50 :(

@@noisackda2564 Yep, mini golf lol. We were goofing around hitting the balls hard into a cave and having them bounce all around. When it was my turn I hit the ball as hard as I could and it shot back in a line drive and caught me between the ear and my cheekbone. I had enough time to say "oh shit" and turn my head. I had a dent half the depth of the golf ball on the side of my face. We finished the game (accident happened on the 3rd hole and I won lol), did go-karts then I went to the hospital to get checked out. The dent is still there but it's not as deep. Originally I was told it was a contusion but it was a breakage when I went for a follow up a few months later. It already started to heal on its own and they said the only way to fix the dent was for them to re-break it and start over. I said fuck it, ill just keep my sideburns lol.

Wow! You rigged your E10 up haha! That's dedication, sir. I'm way too lazy. I'm waiting for the iPhone 16. I was going to get the 15 but at this point, I'll just wait. Apparently, Apple log is pretty incredible so I can see myself vlogging with that potentially.

Yup, exactly as you said. And the crazy thing is smartphones are evolving a lot quicker than dedicated cameras. For me, The experience of shooting with a dedicated camera is also very important as well as data management as you've also said. I prefer to have my phone be a phone and not a camera simply because I associate it with work. I barely shoot video with it but if I didn't have my Sony's I would be completely fine. I would just get an external HD.

According to Diana Gladney who popped up on my recommended page, the mk ii might have the same sensor as the fx30 idk if you mentioned it in your video but that makes me excited. I want to buy a camera to last I don't want to get a camera that i'm going to grow out of super fast. I also hope it has a better stabalization option than just using catalyst browse after the fact.

@@antsalmon The sensor in the FX-30 is insanely good. If they drop that sensor in there I think that would be huge. I can't see the E10 mkii having IBIS though. It's too small of a camera. IBIS needs a lot of space to wiggle around in the body.

You need to make a video. Your opinions on the whole thing are very well thought out and I agree with all of it. I'm just not as eloquent haha. Yeah you know I had the autoframing set to super wide! I didn't even know it was an option but I'm glad it is! For this focal distance I should have used super cropped. There are three levels. I think that's why it wasn't functioning properly.

I just bought a new mic today. I don't even need it. So sad. Wow, I can't believe you used to train so hard. Mad respect. It isn't easy 2 hours a day 5 times a week is no joke. I don't even go that hard and I think I'm going super hard. You're also right about stretching. I just recently started doing it but progress is slow but I am progressing which is great. It's very aggravating to me because I know my progress has almost halted because of this. Plus I'm old so I'm not as malleable, but it is what it is. The autoframing looked good right?! I was surprised!

I really love the E10 and if they can get 10bit 4K60 with good Dynamic stabilization I think it will be the best entry semi pro level camera on the market. I mean there's the DJI Pocket 3 but I don't really consider that in the same category since that is just a vlogging camera. Let's hope Sony doesn't drop the ball on this one.
