Churdhar is the last mountain range of zanskar Himalayas in Sirmour and Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh On this peak deity Shirgul performed his devotion towards lord Shiva and god Shiva blessed deity Shirgul for his tremendous devotional struggle Thereafter Shirgul Devta destroy the kingdom of demons on Churdhar and established the sovereignty of human welfare It is say and hear that Shirgul Devta brought the regular source of water on Churdhar from mantalai the mountain range of Mansarovar in Tibbat As a result Shirgul Devta asked the people of local vicinity of sarahan to come Churdhar and built the temple Then shunku and shawai went to Churdhar shunku construct the temple on Churdhar as per the directions of deity Shirgul This temple was built many years back Many shant functions has been performed to replace the kurud(dharan) on the roof of temple This time kurud was established on the newly built temple of Shirgul Devta on the same place Thousand of people participate in this function
