    Hey man! I've got myself a 98 ST it's a Carlos Sainz edition (limited for italian market) and it has everything except cruise control. I can't really find any useful info about installing it, so I'd like to hear your opinion. Is it possible or should I just leave it be with no cruise? Thanks!

    • @ufixitauto5237
      @ufixitauto5237 Місяць тому

      Thats awesome! Its my first time hearing about a Carlos Sainz edition. It is possible install but there's a decent amount of components to aquire to install you just gotta do the research if you're up for challenge. Alternatively, finding one that's already equipped with cruise control might be a good option as well if it's that important. I had an automatic V6 mustang once and I had plans to manual swap and supercharge it, but in the end, so much headache, time and money was saved by selling it and paying the difference for a V8 with a manual from the factory. Just food for thought 😁

      Have you tried swapping the battery? I spoke to the dealership when sending it in for a recall and they said that these cars are so sensitive to a bad battery that they get trade ins all the time where the customer thinks there's something wrong with the car but the issue was as simple as the battery. If you haven't yet, try that. If you have tried that, what kind of symptoms does it show when it doesn't start? Also, if you're getting codes for the o2 sensors, have you tried new o2 sensors?

      @@ufixitauto5237 Good hearing from you! I'm in SLC close to the airport. My Impala is mainly cosmetic as my brother started sanding on it several years before he passed from cancer. So now I'm on my own to try and work on it. It runs and drives great and the interior is in good condition and nice and cozy like an old car should be. My grandfather bought the Impala brand new in Dec. 1966 from Olsen Chevrolet in Layton, which is still family owned but is now Young Chevrolet. I've also got my 06 Tahoe which I've never lowered the spare, so I'm getting a new hoist/lift before I even start monkeying with it. What was the symptoms with yours? Mine it is hard to crank but eventually does with Service Throttle body alert. Next time I went to start it will not even turn over just attempt.

      If I remember correctly, mine was that even with a new battery, it was still cranking and not starting. I recommend getting a good battery tester to test the battery because a bad battery can also cause the same issue before swapping out the tps. I have a friend that had the same issue on a Dodge Dart and even though the Auto zone battery tester said the battery was good, a better battery tester determined it was bad and it fixed their issue.

      @@ufixitauto5237 Thanks. Mine was not even cranking after the first failed attempt. A new AGM Battery fixed the issue. When these batteries go they throw weird errors with these Chryslers so that is what fooled me a bit.

    I have a 2015 Chrysler 200, it has no power at all and every time we try jumping it the car horn goes off. Any thoughts? (It was working before I traveled for Thanksgiving)

      Sounds like a bad battery. Car horn going off is normal when jumping a car. Its part of the security.

    My code reader shows P0405 EGR sensor bank 'a'. I assume bank 'a' is the same as bank 1
