Oh cool didn’t know about this one.
The guidebooks and ads sounds like an interesting idea.
questions....in Tales to Astonish #77, the Hulk fights the Executioner in a FUTURE Earth timeline where E runs some kind of army fighting some other human ruler.....so how can E recognize the Hulk in the present?....or is this story somehow a far future battle in Asgard?.....btw, Hercules was given a love potion by the enchantress in Avengers #38, but she still seems to pine for him in this story.....also got to admit the writer really worked in some rhymes for Oldar......good job!....from the Marvel list, who the heck is Captain Savage!? & here is an AI answer:(Character Overview...Captain Savage, whose full name is Simon Savage, is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. He is primarily known as the leader of the Leatherneck Raiders, an elite Marine Corps unit that operates during World War II. The character was created by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Dick Ayers and first appeared in “Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos” #10 before starring in his own series titled “Captain Savage and his Leatherneck Raiders,” which ran for 19 issues from January 1968 to March 1970.)
I never knew this existed. Pretty awesome.
Fun read as always!
Thank You never saw this book. Fun Fact when DC took over Blackhawk it out sold Batman.Well done Mr.700 voice.
Mari e Severin was the master touch up artist at Marve!s Bullpen was a great person. Love how they revamp his origin.. What it went to 12 cents rip off.
Awesome stuff here. The art on these are great.
When 12 cents could buy one hours of enjoyment
The voice acting is once again, Excellent! Great job on the German accents, You make the comics so much better It seems almost real ! I saw a part of a guy's video recently and he had music and sound effects, while he was reading the comic, but there is no comparison, I hate to rag on the guy, but all the voices sounded the same! Thanks for another awesome Golden Age story, I only read one Blackhawk story, It's very good, It's a brave in the bold, costarring the Earth 2 Batman, set during WW 2! Maybe you could do an episode of that one someday! Thanks for your superior production!
Your accents are great!
@@cbar65a thank u
yes, but do you remember that back in the 1960s Hanna Barbera made this series The Fantastic Four which air on Saturday mornings and some of the episodes was from issues of the Fantastic Four
yea but would believe that one of them is about the Super Skrull
people getting upset about using the word "excelsior"?....how silly....it just is Latin for "ever upward" & has been used by many people & is not copyrightable....nice follow up story to the other robot-teacher story....how that robot knows humanity isn't ready to encounter Bigfoots befuddles me?......the writer's idea about telepathic manipulation of supes i think is a very good point & is a strong vulnerability of supes.....rewatched 2013's Man of Steel film & saw that supes encountered Kryptonian robots on a Kryptonian ship.....also found a DC comic book prequel to this film co-written with film director Zach Snyder!! involving Supergirl/Kara which was interesting called "Man of Steel Prequel: Special Edition" although i was underwhelmed by the story & found it not worthy of reading imo..... & comicman, i do not mean to be overly picky, but you mispronounced the word "minute" as MIN-IT (as in a measurement of time) when it should be pronounced MI-NUUU-TA ( the word is spelled the same & means "small", but is pronounced differently.....not sure my phonics is good, but you can look it up to get the point)....otherwise your performances are great!
Ok as a BIG fan of your video I don't like the voice you are giving Iron Man, he really sounds like a villain when he is clearly a hero, please fix!
Oh boy, the story wear a robot commits sexual on Superboy and some random girl
I hope Stan Lee doesn't get mad that I'm saying, Excelsior!!!!! Ha ha! I can't believe someone has a problem with that but, Whatever, I had to mention my parents got me some of those power records! I had the Batman one that has the Joker on the cover, I have the Spider-Man one with the man wolf, The Superman one with the meteor shower, and the Star Trek one where they're holding their ears! You know how some people say they hear the voice of the Batman from the animated series from the 1990s when they read Batman comics, well I hear the voice actor from that Batman power record when I read Batman comics! I like Batman animated series but I think it's very overrated!!!!! But I understand why people love it! Because that's what they grew up with as kids which is always the way it usually is! I grew up with Batman 1966 TV show and I still love it to this day!
@@Rick-mp8tm power records were GREAT back in the day. Love that they are all available on UA-cam
Another solid job with the voices. I especially enjoyed the Lord Ha-Ha voice. I think you nailed that. This might have also been a public service as, last I heard, the Howlin' Commandos wasn't available on Marvel Unlimited. One minor anachronism: Burt Lancaster didn't become a film star until after WWII and didn't make "Trapeze" until 1956. Still, a solid yarn.
@@joecarrera1799 thank u very much
Daredevil should form a partnership with the rowdyruff boys
I haven’t read this story since I was a kid. The ads are a great touch too, thanks. “Don’t call me ‘Superboy,’ After what I’ve been through… I deserve to be called a Man.” This book really raised some ethical questions about using some nameless girl as a mindless tool in order to teach Clark many lessons including the facts of life.
Why do you exclaim"Excelsior"?Stan Lee made that his way of addressing his fans.No disrespect but I don't think you have the right.I'll keep listening, though.
Don’t be a weirdo. lol. It’s a word. Anyone can use it
@Adam-bp7kw Guess your right.
@@darrylwiggins4799 but I shouldn’t have called you a weirdo. My apologies!
@Adam-bp7kw Accepted.
That's cool that you're reading the commercials or the ads or whatever that's a lot of fun! Thanks again!
My parents got me that Batman encyclopedia in 1975! I learned a lot from that book! I gave it to a friend of mine's son when he was a little kid he was a big Batman fan about 20 years ago, I don't have anymore but it was really cool, The cover was blue with yellow used for the words! Just like Batman's colors! Too cool! I never saw the one you're talking about you have.
Well done Mr. 700 voice.
Excelsior!!!! I'll listen to some of your earlier videos today, Dude you have really progressed! You're getting better and better man!!!! Thanks for the great entertainment I really appreciate it It's really good ! Take care and keep on doing your thing! Very impressive!
I think George Maxon was the Red Skull in CC 1, CC 3 and CC 7 and Young Allies 1. CC 1, CC 3 y CC 7 are created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Young Allies 1 is between this comics. However form Young Allies 4, CC 16 onwards, I think Red Skull is Johan Smidht. Simon and Jack Kirby had nothing to do with those comics. The retcon came from Tales of Suspense 65. That comic made Maxon look bad. In CC 1 Maxon has a better performance.
Wow I am surprised the Government didn't stop this story.
My parents ordered this in 1976 from an ad in a comic book, i waited , and waited, i couldn't believe that Superman and Spiderman were in the same comic, it was very exciting, then probably 2 months later, they sent a letter That it was sold out! I thought I was going to die. My neighbors that live behind me, he got it, he wasn't even a big comic fan, but anyway I speed read it in his garage, which just wasn't the same, My best friend bought a few years ago and I got to read it that my own leisurely pace!
The villain of this story hurting people with dolls reminds me of Indiana Jones and the temple of doom, wonder if spielberg and lucas got that idea from this comic.
Most superheroes even if they wear something that's different some stories have a costume or suit that is consistant in most stories. I feel that Ironman is a character who dosen't have a design that's consistant even if that's been attempted no doubt. I mean, he has the big grey suit in TOS 39, then next issue has a gold version of that suit, then we get the red and yellow suit, then later a new version of the red and yellow, then the nosepiece version, then silver senterion and so on and so on. Point is Ironman really doesn't have a consitant suit unlike other superheroes. You just see Ironman in a suit, and you imeditley identify it as Ironman.
Good old fists and guns hero of the time.
Mr.650voice strikes again.
A great reading. Could you read Dagar the Invincilbe #12?
@clayidavis860 thank u I will read it sometime in mid February
What do you get when you mix Captain America with Superman? 👍🏿
Thank You this was.My first time I picked up Simon and Kirby and fell in love with comics. This was the period of anti commie better dead then Red.Also.the Fly the Kid hero Thank You Again.
And no old story would be complete without a bunch of racist propaganda. I really love old comic books, but many of the golden age themes were straight up terrible.
Please correct the title of your video. That's Captain Marvel, not the wizard. Just because the corporations play these stupid games doesn't mean we should.
Excelsior! I have heard of Private Strong , but know nothing about the character, is he the Sheild? Anyway thsnks for the Excellent entertainment!
@@Rick-mp8tm he is a revamp of the shield it only lasted for two issues I think
Thanks again, I am still watching this episode, I'm from Tennessee, and I wanted to say, your voice of the old guy with the southern accent was spot on! You sound just like some Tennesseans! Great Job !
Amazing with those video work reading, my friend. Also, just a question are you also thinking about doing reading doom patrol, like the Silver age and bronze age?
@metrogalaxy89 thank u, i will read Doom patrols first appearance in late February, early March, I'm not sure of the dates because I missed some time but they are on my list, every major DC and Marvel character or group I will read
hmmmm, did not know this character pre-dates the beginning of the Marvel Universe
Excellent! Very much appreciated. And your voiceovers superb. I can't help but notice you've improved. Gotten even better. You could do voiceovers professionally in animated movies and programs.
@@johnmoon5798 thank u
Isn't this just the Puppet Master? lol funny to see how many copied themes they used back then. Unicorn and Melter pretty much the same......Love Ditko's new armour design, has set the look for generations and still to this day!
The Puppet Master needs to sue Mister Doll for copyright infringement.
I literally just wrote this too!
Fly girl predates the wasp
The first time we get to see Iron Man's modern suit is quite amazing, really enjoy how you narrate the comics too!
I guess Fly Girl is the Mighty Crusaders’ version of the Wasp.
Wow! The Fly was really thirsty for that blonde ! Ha ha, ( Good enough to eat) ! Ha hA!
I think Ditko created the Armor in this issue that they use to this day, ! He deserves credit for that! He wouldn't be nearly As popular without this cool armor
Kirby on the outside Ditko inside, can't go wrong there.
Keep it Going one of the Best of Golden Age. Thank You Mr.600 voice.
Thank You in this issue we see war clouds comming . The Best is yet to Come.
