Western NY state here and lots of new calves by their moms in the spring, neon-green pasture. They’re not mine but I enjoy seeing them every year, along with the lambs.

Where is his mum
Unfortunately his mum wasn't interested in him when he was born. She jumped out of her pen 6 times to be back with the other cows. The 6th time she jumped out she landed on her side, she was fine but we decided to let her stay with the other cows instead of risking her hurting herself trying to jump out again. Sometimes they just don't want a calf and abandon them! So he is bottle fed calf now and we are his mum!

It depends how they're feeling to be honest! They always follow each other in line into the new field but when they're in it they either scatter or sometimes stay in their line to walk across the field then scatter 😊
