Fighting with BAIT STEALERS for a Skipjack Tuna
wait what? how do you use bilge pump for bidet?! 😮
Fun fight but it's a sack of worms
Just curious, why don't you go with outriggers for stabilization?
@@miketexas4549 really two reasons: 1) I feel stable on my outback and haven’t had an issue in the 3 years I have been doing this 2) I already get my lines tangled in my rudder and motor. So if I had the amas I would have two more things to get tangled on. Haha
That was a beautiful meal you prepared. Awesome job 🤙
Nice setup. Minimalist is better for sure. Glad to see that pump, that is one of the mos important pieces of gear. If i forget mine I will drive home and get it before I go out. Never had to wash myself out though 😆 lol.
What kind of kayak do you have?
Hobie Outback
@@fishingadventureshawaii thank you for sharing
Use Thai kitchen Coconut Cream then you have the oil and milk in one. Use it for my curry all the time
What depth do you go to target your Opelu and Akule?
Where are you fishing
look like Oahu to me.
Love the videos man, but I get anxiety every time I see you pull your unleashed drive and set it in the back 😂🤙🏼
Agreed please leash your drive. It will be a long paddle in
Looks like awesome weather out there amd good fishing aswell
Nice! That guy is my unicorn! lol I can’t catch um to save my life 😂
Yeah they are tricky and smart. By far my favorite to catch, usually that first run is awesome. This one did not really fight like my other Onos and for the most part was straight down most of the time. When it is calmer out I usually will run two lines, one fluoro and one wire just in case :)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. May I ask what types of flys color/size hook do you use to catch opelu? is there any difference with what you use for catch goggle eyes?
I use size 10 Maruto MZ gold hooks with a red bead on 15lb fluoro. I generally use gold flake and firecracker bloodworm lures. I use the exact same setup for Opelu and Akule.
@@fishingadventureshawaii Thank you!
what length is your bait tubes and how much opelu can you fit inside without dying
2ft. Depending on the size of the opelu, I keep roughly around 7 in the tube
circle hooks help keep the line from rubbing since they almost always hook corner jaw. Downside is they're bad at gut hooking mahis so it's a tradeoff
I quit playing and run 60lb leader. Get them in quick
This was Saturday ya? i saw you guys out (teal alii kai "honi kai") was live baiting going east. Lost 4 ono before boating one 25lb shibi
This was a couple of weeks ago. I’ll keep a look out for your boat.
That bird swallow the hook?
Yes and that has happened a few times to me.
Wait till their yellow good fellow.
Yeah. I have brought up a ton of mahi. This one had some extra spunk. Haha
Lol hey when nature calls it calls but seriously though never though to use it to clean off the deck from blood ill have to start doing that
Sickkkkkk
Hell yeah! Nice one!
Just curious, how big is your small bag and about how long was the shibi?
The “small” bag I have is the hobie large one. It is 36 inches long. I would say the shibi was probably 42-45 inches.
Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to decide on a bag and was hoping to get away with a 40 inch bag. Looks like Might be better to go bigger.
@@custommartini808 what kayak do you have? I have two bags and I will use both at different times. My other bag is the Reliable 60" triangle long bag...I love it but on windy days it acts like a sail and spins me around when the wind hits it. On those days, I prefer the flat hobie bag. You also can always get a 40" bag and keep a small towel with you and if your fish tail sticks out of the bag you can keep it cool by wrapping it in the wet towel.
Yeah! Nice catch.
Man, your content is awesome! I like the part with the mahi mahi. Plus, the conditions you’re facing it’s definitely a challenge fishing in Hawaii. Props to you! 🎣👍
I appreciate the comment!
Would very much like to meet you one day and learn from you
Awesome catch! 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Tell wade and Frankie hi for us. Trout fishing has been terrible.
Will do and I hope to get out there with my dad sometime later this year to fish.
why are you wearing a hijaab?
It is a sun guard with a mesh area by the mouth that has fallen apart. Haha. I wear it to help keep the sun off of me as much as possible. Otherwise I will turn into a giant freckle
Beauty!
Watch out for those whales there. I had one almost jump in the boat with me. Also got a jumbo kahala there that i lost just below the boat then a shark bit it and we boated it thanks to shark. Was glad because we were wondering what it was. Took it home just to keep away from sharks.
Aurite! Congrats on the nice ahi!
Terbaik sobatku..sukses sehat slalu...full always..11:50
dimana kamu tinggal di indonesia? kami tinggal di dekat Pekanbaru di Sumatra dahulu kala.
Do you still use the same wire rig on your tutorial?
Nice catch by the way
Thanks and yes, whenever I run wire it is that same rig.

No 1 .
Do you hold the mahi out of the water to keep the hook from coming out before kagi? I lose mahi quit a bit.
I try to keep the line as tight as possible before getting the kage in it. I’m not specifically trying to hold it out of the water.
Good catch brah! Tie down that drive because ive seen them fall over.
I really do need to, I used to. I have gotten lazy :(
What size line do u use?
I use 40lb for the trolling rigs. Base of 40lb braid 100ft top shot of 40lb mono 4-5ft 40lb fluorocarbon leader
Action!! 🔥🔥 Great Video!
Thanks for sharing, congrats 🎣🎣🎣🔥🔥🔥💯
Wow ,what an action packed day. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. 😊Take care.
Where did you get that gaff you used to poke the head?
From Amazon: SAN LIKE Telescopic Fishing Gaff,Aluminum/Fiberglass Pole with Nonslip Handle,Stainless Steel Hook with M8 Screw, Fish Gaff can Float When Extending a.co/d/h03hhmU

Damn Wilson, you got a tan.
Nice
I know that uku hurt 😬
It did. Haha. I should of just grabbed it.
Do you fish on the big island? I have a hobie outback and live hilo side. Just looking for people to go with. Nice job btw good stuff.
I’m on Oahu. I hear there is good fishing Hilo side!
@fishingadventureshawaii well keep up the good work. 🤙 haters gonna hate... they hate us cause they ain't us...
Outstanding
hi sir i watch full this video.very interesting fishing video sir wanna ask how to make your live well for your bait? and what size it is?
Hi. I followed these instructions: ua-cam.com/video/xLB9walgoIc/v-deo.htmlsi=er1qSKFrkvhW0Sm7
why keep those small dorado? let them grow up!
The main reason is that I have no easy way to release them. The last time I brought a small one in my kayak without spearing it, I got the trailer hook in my leg (from it flopping around) that I had to get cut out.
