The manual says count 13 pins from 12 o’clock to 12 o’clock. Not 12 pins.
Post the manual pic where it shows this
Page 125 of the 06 rmz 250 manual. I can’t post pics on here but look it up.
I’m also confused though most videos I’ve seen say 12 but the manual says 13. Honestly am I reading the manual wrong?
@@BryanDaniels-r7g its true
Oh partners for life just minding there business around there house sweet.
Tank's heading South...He's outta there! :D
After 6 videos, FINALLY a simple detailed video that answered EVERYTHING.. thanks man 👌
same like KX 250f
I found top dead center with my straw and the marks ont the timing gears line up perfect but the mark on the magneto aren't lining up. What's that meann?
Damn that timing change is shot in that bike...
I try to put my bike in timing but wen I try to kick start it stay stuck what can that be ???
You’re timing is wrong and you probably bent a valve.
Hi ! i have a rmz 250cc from 2004 and i want to replace the timing chain and between the top two points of the two camshafts there are 12 points of the chain, is that right ? I saw in a rmz 250cc manual on the internet that there were 13 points of the chain and I have 12 on my motorcycle 🤔
Trying to put mine back together. Does it mean my timing is off if I can't rotate the crank by wrench more than 90° after?
same happened to mine yes it means its off
i just rotated it backward
did u have a problem that the bike backfired or something when u tried to start it? im trying to find out why it wont start and it almost starts and sometimes there comes 60cm long flames out the exhaust
@@admiralclawz8524 im having the same issue let me know what you figure out please
@@fortyoz1137 what year is your bike?
unless it was in you part one you never once referenced the TCD mark on the flywheel which is the first critical step and in order to do that the cover must be installed on the mag side
Yes sir you are correct, the most critical part was in part one. Thanks for watching and sorry it was so long. We had a few issues bit turned out to be machine shop ground our valve tips on other installs. NEVER GRIND VALVE TIPS FOR VALVE ADJUSTMENT.
Might want to replace that cam chain very soon!!
Hey I've been wanting to take my kids here to learn riding some trails, but says we need to be registered everywhere I look, well my kids are kids with no license and little quads that are not registered, think they would be fine
Yea I go to haspin alot, but not taking my 6 and 4 year old there, yea the 110 track would be ok. But them lil guys will take off and next thing ya know there stuck at bottom of a hill lol
I see you've had your intake cam welded did it spin on the shaft ? Mine did and I bought a new one and welded it took me forever to figure out why my bike was underpowerd intake cam gear had spun about half a tooth
Hey man, how dangerous can a finger nail deep vertical scratch be on my cylinder wall? I just bought a rmz250 09 and was running ok under little compression but rideable. Im thinking just reassembling the motor and ride
Try honing it deep scratches can lead to irreversible damage
Is this correct
Cam chain is shot! See the kinks?! That means it's no good

My god that was a long as piss!
😂😂
I know this is a timing video, which removing crankcase cover deff. helps with TRUE TDC, thanks, but my shop wants 350 for reshimming so as I'm measuring my clearance only the right side intake is in tolerance. The exhaust valves I cant even get a .08 feeler gauge to slip under the lobe either these are out of spec too or am I measuring the exhaust wrong? Do I flip the flywheel 180 and measure the Exhaust or measure all of them at TDC? Thanks
Ah cute gators!!!!
