The LA Stormwater Program is committed to keeping our beaches clean and safe, because we don't like pollution in our ocean!
The City of Los Angeles is committed to improving the water quality of our surrounding rivers, creeks and coastal waters by reducing the amount of contaminated runoff that flows into them from our urban watershed. The LA Stormwater Program is using public outreach and education to protect our ocean. With the help of all Angelenos, we can make significant strides towards a cleaner LA and a healthier ocean.

City of Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation Director Enrique C. Zaldivar spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rory M. Shaw Wetlands Park located in Sun Valley, CA. In attendance were Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, Congressman Tony Cardenas (29th District), Councilperson Nury Martinez (6th District), LA City Engineer Gary Lee Moore, and the people of the Sun Valley area.
