Nadu is still Legacy legal, not to mention how much more broken Lurrus is, Lurrus was banned in Vintage. Literally the first card ever banned in the no bans format.

My point is that some 60 decks should run these while others shouldn’t. They shouldn’t be run in every deck that has the colors because these lands are more complex than a typical pain land or shock land. And you shouldn’t take out basics for them since that’s what enables them.

@@Insigneos bear in mind that you don't need basics to run them. obviously though it's wise to do so. for example if I run thornspire Verge, I'm also going to run Cinder Glade and Stomping ground, as both of those will also allow it to be used at full capacity. Taiga also works if you've got an obscene amount of money to spend and are running in formats that allow them. Admittedly those 3 are the only 3 that do have proper synergy on fast mana. the rest all come in tapped unconditionally. but in non singleton formats that's 8-12 copies, which ain't bad at all I assume you know the rule, but just in case. the Verges are like Urza lands. they aren't looking for the name of your land at all, they're looking for the type line. Since Stomping ground, Cinder Glade, and Taiga are both Forest and Mountains, they will all allow Thornspire Verge to run

@Insigneos sorry if any of this comes off as rude or disrespectful. that isn't my intent at all. I genuinely just want to have a discussion on our difference of opinion. in my eyes, there are very few situations where a verge isn't at minimum equal to a basic land

I think that the deck in question is already trying to make a lot of mana with cabal coffers or potentially nythkos. This card is pretty good if you've got ten or so mana but at that point you might just be winning anyway, but I've never played or played against that deck, so I don't really know what it does

I know with ninjas, usually you want to full attack or attack with unblockables. The only downside i see to this is that you have to keep up enough blockers
